BunkoSquad: Dr Dreidel: Fark Lite presents: Real Men of Genius (Real Men of geeeeeeeeeeeeenyuuuuuuuuuuss)
Today we salute you, Mr Dumber-than-a-box-of-bags-of-hammers-subby (*deepbreath* Mr Dumathanaboxabagahmmasubbb-ay)
While some might take a moment to fire up our laptop's calculator, or a real one, or even an app to do the math (only 18.95 on iTunes!)
You bravely sally forth, doing the math you must do as a subby to make your self feel better (20% of my butt is hurting).

So crack open a nice cold Fark Liter thread, Potentate of the Potatoes - while it may not be the correct answer, it's Right. On. Every time. (Mr Dumathanaboxabagahmmasubbb-ay)

// Anheuser-Busch, St Louis Missouri

That's worth a month of TF right there

I'm fatter flattered, thanks!

// you're now farkied as "My Sponsor", just like the others
// today, we also salute YOU, Mr Gave-me-a-month-of-TF (Mr Doesnnothevaluofahvdoooolllllas!)

Rev.K: I'm with  subby.

I live in Canada and I don't know anyone who has ObamaCare. No one can get on the website.

Thanks, 0bummer.

Your maple syrup is clogging up the tubes.

Is subby Paul Ryan or Karl Rove?

Meh, eventually the red states will join in. They don't have any real choice in the matter. Why? It's the economy stupid. People, and jobs, will begin to migrate to states that have it.

Even if you are a man.

Please tell me y'all have to get mammograms too now?

Might as well, we're paying for them  >:-O

dr_blasto: I got my mammogram when I went in for my bi-annual abortion. It was an all-in-one clinic, the Tri-State Abortionplex and Imam training center. I think they were hauling old people in the back for death panels.

Yay!!!!

/not looking forward to my prostate exam

Just make sure you have a cigarette on standby for after.

I like how the last one basically admits "We think our viewers are so dumb, they think 8.6 is higher than 8.8 or 9!

Right from the 1984.  The chocolate ration has been increased from 30 grams to 20 grams.

You know what? You're RIGHT subby.

We should just tell 9million people, nevermind this is too much work. and tell them all they can't have medical insurance.

/it's what jesus would do.

2014-03-31 02:23:42 PM

vpb: kronicfeld: vpb: I wonder if subby realizes that Obamacare is for people who don't have insurance and signing up the entire population isn't it's goal?

Technically, that's not true either. The ACA/Obamacare is a bundle of different laws and regulations, many of which affect people who already have insurance, even good insurance.

Sure it does things like allowing kids to stay on their parents insurance until they are 26 and preventing the exclusion of pre-existing" conditions", but that doesn't involve "signing up for Obamacare"

Nothing involves signing up for obamacare though.  You sign up for Aetna or BCBP or medicaid, just like always.

Did Mr Lambert write the headline again? You see, you have to multiply every figure he gives you by 100. Other than that, he's perfectly alright.

I got a mammogram once. (Seriously, apparently breast cancer in men is not that uncommon.) It was not nearly as unpleasant as women have led me to believe.

meat0918: How many uninsured where there in the population?

How many of this 9.5 million were previously uninsured? And how many are just people that switched over from health insurance they had before?

El_Frijole_Blanco: Not only is subby a math moron but the fact is not all of America needs to sign up for Obamacare as those with existing insurance are exempt

There is no Obamacare that anyone signs up for.  You either have health insurance you purchase through a private exchange or you don't.   Everyone that has health insurance in America is subject to the ACA.   That's one reason why Hobby Lobby is fighting it.  They don't want to meet the mandates it requires them to pay for.

So if you have health insurance, either through the exchange or through your employer you are receiving the benefits of Obamacare.

/Every time I call my mom she asks if I signed up for Obamacare.  It's getting old.  Everyone that purchases health insurance has signed up for Obamacare!  It regulates every health insurance policy in the nation.

Oh good for you! It is fairly common and I didn't mean to make light of it. But if you actually have...well boobies, it's seriously painful. Especially the sideways and up to down mashing. The straight on isn't so bad. That's probably all you had since you most likely don't have enough there to get all multi-planed.

If you do, I can lend you a bra.

Ignoring the fact that subby farked up the math by two whole orders of magnitude, do people not actually understand that the pool of potential signups is drastically smaller than the total population?

I mean, I have employer provided insurance that I am happy with, so it's not like the fact that I'm not signing up for ACA insurance is somehow indicative of a failure on its part.

But there is a portion of that 9.5 that had insurance before ACA that is now getting it through the exchange.  What is the population of people that are now insured that weren't before?  90% 70%?

The last time the GOP plan of selling insurance across state lines, tort reform, and high risk pools got looked at by the CBO, they said it would only insure an additional 3 million people. Over 10 years.

The GOP has no room to criticize.

And does this count the number of people that have gotten insurance through the expanded Medicare/Medicaid options or just private insurers?
