To summarize, I guess?

North Korea once again shows water who's boss.  In response, South Korea shoots in the general direction of North Korea, but wasn't aiming for anything in particular.  Which I guess means they also kicked water in the nads.

So, despite political differences, both nations 1) have lots of Koreans, and 2) farking hate the ocean.

You never want to water your lawn near the DMZ, because when the Norks see water, they get goofy.  Farking swimming pool in the back yard, you'll get a couple of Dong sent your way, once fat boy hears about it.

Let me just say that Spam is a wondrous miracle unto itself, and every Hawaiian Asian I've ever known would punch you in the face for saying otherwise. Mmmm. Spam.

Anyways... I think Worst Korea would be justified in using a tactical nuke on Pyongyang, and I believe China would just sort walk away and whistle at this point. The sabre-rattling is old and Kim-Fat-Fark needs to be taught a lesson before his antics destroy the Japanese and South-Korean economy, which is a huge piece of our economy.

As far as I noticed, this appears to be the very first day CNN.com's (international edition) home page has MH370 news pushed to the bottom of the page.   Their lead stories are the possible conflicts in Ukraine and the Korean penninsula.

First time in over 2 weeks now?

I wouldn't care, except that this is going to shake John McCain out of some Metamucil-induced stupor, he'll start spouting something about how "strong leadership" would use "military options", and before the nurses wheel him away for nap time, somebody will shove a camera in his face and for the next week or two all my teabagger coworkers and crazy uncles will FWD:FWD:fwd:fwd:NUKE NK! links to the same Fox News video and then they'll ask me how I feel knowing that WW3 is all my fault because I didn't vote for Grumpy McWhiteguy.

No it won't. Every Tea Party extremist and liberal Democrat agrees North Korea is an evil shiathole that isn't worth invading anyway.

And this is a really embarrassing post from someone who I probably agree with politically, but you shame yourself for not understanding the topic well enough to understand you just look really ignorant of the situation to post that.

I guarantee you no one will be calling for military action about this. And if you think it will happen, you deal more with Republican stereotypes than actual Republicans.

phrawgh: It's definitely because Obammy is perceived as weak.

/I wonder who caused that?

The fact that North Korea still exists is the fault of every president since the 50's. None of them has seriously taken Russia or China to task for letting those guys be annoying little shiats.  Each one has kicked the can down the road and eventually the norks will screw up and land an artillery shell or missile in an unfortunate part of their neighbors city.
Obama has inherited an unfortunate situation where little can be done before then./The public perception of him as weak was his own doing.  /He wanted to focus on domestic issues.  He did so at the expense of foreign policy goals./So long the shepherd sits, so long he runs.

I have a highly scientific method for seeing whether or not to worry about North Korea doing something to South Korea.  I look on Facebook for the people I know who used to live there, check the profile for any prayers being sent their way, and determine it from there.
