It's something that this is the third tornado warning for NorCal in a week, though. What the hell.

Tornadoes have been known to track up and down the sides of mountains.

Tornadoes aren't normal. But on the DEMON WEED in Norcal, they are.

In regards to Earthquake v/s tornado smack talk... Is this where those of us in the midwest say something like:

"Pshh. It's only an EF2. I don't even put shoes on for anything less than an EF4!"

/Stay safe folks.

It sorta (kinda maybe) is when it's in areas that they're rare, and don't have tornado warning infrastructure.

It was IN Roseville. Damaged a bunch of houses. Nothing serious, but some people are gonna have to get new roofs. EF0

I remember the day a tornado hit down town Ft. Worth. I had just bought an S-10 extended cab pickup. I miss that ride, I could haul shiat and park anywhere. My current 1500 fills any space I find, although I can fit much more crap in the cab.

Right. Some friends of mine that rate low on the cautious scale climbed up on their roof to take pictures.

I watched that tornado from an apartment balcony off W loop 820 where it was sunny and warm. It was eerie.

Shadow Blasko: "Pshh. It's only an EF2. I don't even put shoes on for anything less than an EF4!"

I was thinking that, actually... but was holding my tongue.

I've had to tell the kids when they were younger to quit screwing around and keep an eye on the weather radar when they kept going outside to take pictures of the dinky little ones and twos that sometimes pass by the house. The last one was about 100 yards away and got a bunch of shiat stuck in my cedar trees... trash and wood and such. Took a couple of days to clean that mess out of them.

I've sat on a hill about 200 yards away from an EF2... It was really neat to get to see a non-threatening (Wayyy out in the fields) tornado up close and with good light.

/Got caught in the hail core before we made it back to where we were parked though.. that part was not so cool. golfball size hail hurts.

//Thing I remember most about all of it was the smell of the ground after the tornado went through. So raw. It's hard to explain. All that ripped up vegetation and fresh earth.

I'm looking at WeatherSpark.com. Best site ever. I only wish it would differentiate snowfall from rain.

My husband got an emergency alert text on his cell phone and called to see if I got it. I'm in South Chico, doing homework at home. I didn't get the alert on my phone. He's at our auto shop, across the street from the airport's runway.

I read him the tornado warning, that it was moving from Nord, east, i.e. right for him. We could both see lightning - him clearly, as the airport is (obviously) a large, clear plain. He went inside and will shelter in place until it passes.

I can hear thunder and you farking guys talking about it is freaking me out.

He better be OK. I don't really care if the shop burns down though :)
