Yeah, you folks keep using your debit cards everywhere for anything and everything. Spread your personal checking account access details throughout cyberspace on every retail network you can find and trust them all to keep your info safe. The problem is that it only takes one bad person to wipe out your bank account leaving you without a single dime until you can get the bank to give you back your money.

I use cash and credit cards. If somebody swipes my credit card info then all they can do is steal the bank's money. My money is still safe. I may lose part of my credit line for a few days but I'm not incapacitated and still have all my money as well as other credit cards available. A minor inconvenience is all.

So tell me again why everybody is so hot to use their debit cards everywhere? I cannot understand the logic.
