What I don't understand is how they got a flock of sheep past security? Is it that bad at the Louvre? I've never been to the Louvre, but I have been to other famous museums, and usually the entry way security is pretty tight.

Ah, that brings back memories. Wonderful place, as is all of Paris.

BTW, I assume they had a permit or at least the willingness of someone to look the other way--the whole situation looks contrived.

While "flock" is a correct collective noun for sheep, a better variant might be "drift" or "drove" which refer to sheep that are being driven.

I have no desire to sheep in the halls of the Louvre, Subby.
Fortunately, these sheep did no such thing - that's just the entrance lobby.
Bloody French farmers think they can get away with murder.
They may be right.

So, apparently Louvre security has a border collie on hand to handle this sort of thing?

I didn't click on it, 'cause it's a Gawker site, but I suspect it links to a YT video similar to this one.

These are the kind of anti-social shiatheads that American liberals dream they could be like.  Terrific jerkoffs - you interrupted the days of the employees that work there, the guests trying to enjoy the museum and you created a condition where it was possible (likely?) a priceless work of art would be damaged.
