(Fox Sports)   Vin Scully freaks out about an earthquake during last night's Angels-Dodgers game. Just kidding: he calmly announces a "tremor", then goes on to recount the 1989 San Francisco quake - all without breaking stride   (msn.foxsports.com) divider line 3
More: Cool, Vin Scully, Dodgers, San Francisco, spring training, strides, tremors, Dodger Stadium, kidding

And there is a giant, glowing spaceship landing out in center field ... which reminds me, the Astros are coming in for a three game series starting Tuesday...

LucklessWonder: Nabb1: JerseyTim: That man is a national treasure.

I hate the Dodgers and always have, but I'll watch games he calls on Extra Innings just to hear him. He is without question the greatest of all time in his profession.

He's definitely a candidate for GOAT, but I'm not sure it's without a doubt. The late Harry Carey (I can't spell) is at least a reasonable doubt.

Oh come on...I loved Harry Carey, but that man was playing a character of himself for his last 10 years. Unique for sure, but also very gimmicky and quite often over the top ridiculous.

Vin Scully is the greatest of my generation IMO...Jack Buck, Ernie Harwell, Harry Carey...some great ones...but I'd put Mr. Scully at the top by a healthy margin.
