"Chevrolet Cruze..........the global compact that is Chevrolet's best-selling nameplate with more than 2 million units sold around the world."

/works out to about 200,000 cars per person

I can think of another Cruz I wish they'd stop trying to sell

Probable just some petty life threatening safety issue.

The problem with the Cruze is that it prefers the closet to the garage.

I've driven a Cruze as a rental car a few times. I like them. Of course, they didn't try to kill me.

My mom drives a cruze and loves it. So much so, she got it as her replacement when her first one met a deer on the highway. Seems a bit light, but there is a bit of pep in the direct fuel injected engine.

I had a cruze I'll get another one in a month or so to replace the wrecked one

2014 Formula 1 engines are 1.6l V6 turbos - what was your point?

Just 5 and half years ago the government seized GM, screwed several thousand dealers, screwed the bond and shareholders and gave it to the Unions.

Now look at Union run Government Motors.

I had a used 1990 Cavalier for a few years...glad I bought, when it was new, a 2005 Nissan
Sentra, if this is how GM does business.  (To be fair to US automakers, though, my mom and dad
bought, when new, a 2000 Mercury; it runs fine after 80,000 miles.)

2014 Formula 1 engines are 1.6l V6 turbos - what was your point?

A Formula One car's power unit consists of a 1.6-litre turbocharged V6 engine which operates in conjunction with an Energy Recovery System (ERS). The engine must have six cylinders in a 90-degree formation, with two inlet and two exhaust valves per cylinder and a single turbocharger. They are rev-limited to 15,000rpm, have a fuel flow limit of 100 kilograms/hour and produce around 600bhp.

The 1.4L Cruze: 138@4900

I think that's what he meant.

Wow, you got all of that out of "I think my lawnmower is bigger"? All I got out of it was some sort of suggestion that he was looking down on what he perceived to be a small engine size.

It will do 0-60 in 8 to 9 seconds - that is good enough.

I like my Cruze. Gets great fuel mileage, is quiet, and can be hustled around corners if you're feeling frisky. I've got 46k on the odometer and I've had no problems with it yet.

This recall is due to quality problems from a supplier but GM still gets the black eye.

he's going to hate the new 1-liter 3cyl from Ford and GM, and the 1.5-liter 3 cyl from BMW (coming soon to the 5-series!)

I wasn't real sure if a Chevy Cruze was a domestic, imported or a bit of both.
I figured I'd use my search engine and see.
But then my Google immediately quit working after showing up on Fark.com.
I don't do Bing.

Also on Friday, GM recalled just under 700 Cadillac ELRs, the plug-in hybrid that is the luxury brand's version of the Chevy Volt. Only 55 of the cars have been sold to customers, Adler said, while the rest are on dealer lots.

Tesla must be pissing their pants laughing at that quote.

With 45% domestic content!

(For reference, all the cars in the Cars.com American-Made Index Top 10 have over 75% domestic content.)

It's actually a world car with the design and engineering being done mostly in South Korea. The manufacturing is done in different parts of the world for different markets.
