Unobtanium: Publix stores are usually awesome. The staff there seem to be happy and are usually helpful. The only issue is that their store layouts are inconsistent, I think because they vary in size. But also because they will cater to local needs and tastes (Kosher delis in the stores with a large Jewish demographic, with pictures of the Rabbis on the wall). I travel a lot by car in the SE U.S., and if I need some grocery items to have in my motel room, Publix is my first choice for shopping.Even though it is cold, their "Grab and Go" Cuban sandwich is tasty. I went into one store a few months ago and they were out. An employee saw me looking through the sandwiches and asked what I was looking for. I told him and they didn't miss a beat. They were busy but got two people to start assembling a supply of those sandwiches. Also, the "SAPPY" tag color resembles Publix' green.
taurusowner: jake_lex: This article shows why news organizations should stop putting comment sections on news articles. You read this nice article about what sounds like a nice man, then you get derp like this:AmericanPresident-in-2016Rank 0Wow, he did this without the government propping him up. He somehow survived without Obamacare and other costly mandates. Good old fashioned hard work. Who woulda thunk it?Yeah it sucks when you get slapped in the face with truth while you're just trying to read an article doesn't it.
Pointy Tail of Satan: And then, one customer from retirement, he is killed by a insane grocery activist! Just like Arch Duke Ferdinand! "Sophie!!!! Stay alive for the children....." as he faded away, blood pouring out over two cans of Green Giant Peas and a loaf of Whole Grain Wonder Bread. And so began the feared Publix/Winn-Dixie War of 2014.
