Is anything Dinesh D'Souza does even in a parallel universe that's remotely close to good?

2014-03-28 07:51:25 PM
What ever became of his campaign finance shenanigans?

fusillade762: What ever became of his campaign finance shenanigans?

Seeing as how his indictment was handed down less than three months ago, perhaps it's waiting to be scheduled for trial?

Even talented comedians are not dumb enough to try and parody a parody.  A conservative doing is obviously going to be a train wreck.

Has a parody ever successfully parodied a parody?

2014-03-28 08:39:45 PM
It was equally as entertaining as the original

2014-03-28 08:42:40 PM
I had to stop less than two minutes in as it was clear this guy was just trying to sell his sh*tty movies.

chuckyg.com

Of course that sort of assumes that those 60s spy films were spoofs of earlier, Cold War movies.

Gods that was too awful. I couldn't make it more than two minutes.

I thought people under indictment usually tried to keep a low profile.

Dear Right Wing People:

I just wanted you to know that we will laugh with you, we will always be laughing AT you.  You, and you need to understand this, are not funny.  You will never BE funny.  I'm sorry, I know you THINK you are funny, but...you're not.

Sincerely;
Everyone that ever existed.

Well, Scream was a parody of horror movies, and Scary Movie was a parody of that.  So I guess that's technically one.

Maybe.  If you count poeslaw as a parody.

"In Like Flint" and "Our Man Flint" were parodies, I'd say.

I saw a prescription today for 90 enemas. One per day for 90 days. This video reminded me of that.

If you only judge conservative humor against itself, like a t-ball league of humor, this would rank near the top. Not as funny as when Breitbart died but that's a hard act to follow.

2014-03-28 11:04:27 PM
That was honestly much better than expected.

Dinesh D'Souza needs to give it a rest. He's just pathetic.

Reminds me of all those silly 'interview' segments that you would hear on "Morning Zoo" radio programs back in the 80s where are the responses were bits from songs. Hey, congrats Dinesh on repackaging an idea that is at least 30 years old as a shameless plug for your new movie that I'm sure proves that liberals are poopy-heads.

I remember when Al Yankovic would do this schtick when he took over MTV/Muchmusic for a day.

Yea, I was pretty damned sure those Morning Zoo guys weren't that original. That's why I said 'at least', but I just didn't know specific examples from before my high school days. Thanks for proving my point further!

I wasn't specifically, but, again, that's why I said "at least". I was only referring to my personal experience with those things which dates to my high school days. Funny to know that Dinesh did a bad job of a 60 year-old technique to plug his movie.

Thats because they are authoritarian and only at most marginally conservative.

"Authoritarian" should be said with the same disdain that "liberal" is said by conservatives.

The "Flint" films starring James Coburn most definitely were...

"Our Man Flint"

Of course. Because he supports aristocratic thug capitalism and unabashedly bashes gays. He's openly what they wish they could admit to being.

The problem with conservative humor is that instead of focusing on making conservatives laugh the way liberals laugh at their humor, they focus on trying to make liberals feel the way conservatives feel about liberal humor.  So it ends up awkward and generally terrible.
