I'm glad all other issues in America and around the world have been resolved to allow CNN to provide this 24/7 perpetual breaking news coverage of the missing plane.  If they don't find the plane by November, CNN won't have to spend any effort covering the mid-term elections because -- missing plane.

As much grief as Fox gets for the way they slant the news, CNN gives people no reason to watch the station. They're pathetic. CNN has been covering this nonstop like it's the biggest event since 9/11. CNN must be proud of itself to try gaining ratings by exploiting people who died in a plane crash.

Anyone's high school newspaper is more professional than these fools.

I don't get it.  A plane has an electrical fire, crashes into the Pacific.  Why is this front page news?

Because we don't know exactly where it crashed, and wild bullshiat conspiracy theories make for good ratings.

/Man, can you imagine if modern CNN was around when Amelia Earhart crashed? Or during the height of the 'Bermuda Triangle' bullshiat?

I presume CNN has news editors who are looking at everything going in the US and around the world and deciding that none of it is as important as the missing plane with 3 Americans on board (as well as 2 Canadians.)

Venezuela and Turkey consumed by riots?  No need to cover that.  California State Senator arrested for trying to run weapons (including rocket launchers) to Islamic rebels?  Nope.  Russia massing nearly 100,000 troops on the Ukraine border in areas far from Crimea as well as raise natural gas prices by 80%?  Who cares.  Obamacare deadlines coming up on March 31? Crickets.  Syria? North Korea? Iran?  Whatever.  Rand Paul signing up 10 million volunteers for his 2016 campaign?  Nothing.

I made the last one up to see if anyone is paying attention.

If I were in charge I'd use the simulator to demonstrate the various way the copilot could have masturbated as the plane crashed.

As someone who has had too much to drink on a lunch break from work, I say this makes sense.

Had I not been drinking though.....

Oh come on. Look, the USN will one day drop off the black box at the FAA's front door saying 'a guy in a pub gave it to us.' Until the the records are analyzed, there are no facts, only speculation. Can we all move on to the next missing white girl?

Not my point at all, also not relevant to my point.
My point is CNN is using this as a distraction to generate massive revenue opportunity.
And seems to be pulling it off.

Dear CNN,

Will you please kindly STFU about that plane until you have some actual conclusive findings to report on? Thanks.

Holy hell, their obsession with it is as bad as their obsession with George Zimmerman. Isn't there some other important news? There are plenty of pictures of 777s inside and out on the internet already.

FTFA:  Despite the mockery it has received for its speculative, wall-to-wall coverage of the still-missing plane, ratings have gone through the roof.

So no, no they won't.......  This will never end.......

Well, you know about all those other events, so no harm done.  The people who exclusively rely on CNN (or other shiatty networks like FOX) for news are basically the livestock of the human race, so them not knowing something is no great loss.  Those of us with the brains to think about and discuss things that aren't sensational will continue to inform ourselves properly.

Breaking News from CNN:
One of the Legal Guys on Fred Whitfield's show just stated that a that a lawsuit filed yesterday against Boeing and Malaysia Airlines is nothing more than a "grab for publicity."
Umm...
Irony?
