The Stealth Hippopotamus: So I should stop bathing in the blood of virgins??

I've found personally that it reduces my stress levels.

I'm really glad that I'm not a woman nor was I ever so good looking that I have something to "cling to."  I'd hate to feel compelled to spend money on sh*t like this.

"In light of insufficient scientific evidence [that] HGH in older adults offers long-term anti-aging benefits, and with studies indicating that low growth hormone levels may actually protect the elderly from aging diseases ... the risks of using HGH as an anti-aging strategy outweigh the potential benefits," said Dr. Sofiya Milman, lead author of the new study and an assistant professor of endocrinology at Albert Einstein.

I think they're missing the point. The desire to recapture youth when old outweighs the desire of simply living a longer time at the baseline. It's human nature to burn the candles on both ends for quality over quantity.

So the Meek shall indeed inherit?

I'll be sure not to take HGh when I reach my mid 90s.  How about when I'm younger, that would be a more relevant study.

The effect was especially pronounced in the 90 to 80 age group.

And really, it should be no surprise that hormone therapy raises the risk of cancer. Hormones are chemicals that stimulate cell activity. It's not a leap to think they would have a hand in promoting cancer growth.

Aging is genetic. We are programed by evolution to live just long enough to teach our kids to forage and hunt. Thee we are supposed to die.

What they need to do is eliminate the deterioration of telemeres during cell replication.

Doubtful. If Sylvester Stallone's experience is at all typical, an overdose of this stuff could turn you into MST3K favorite Robert Z'Dar.

All you've got to do is figure out how to control telomeres.

Not all cell in the body are regenerative, even if we stop telomere related cell death.

That's a misconception, that brain cells don't grow in adults.

Well, they're screwed physically, but on the bright side they have the minds of eight year olds.
