I'm glad I moved over to Android before that place fell completely to pieces.  The signs were already there.  When I could see it coming a mile away and they couldn't (or, did and did nothing to avert it) you knew they were headed for disaster.

What, no RIM job jokes? Because those never get old.

I used to work in a call center on a team that processed RMAs for Verizon. 9 times out of 10, people who didn't even know what phone they owned would hang up on us when we asked about their defective RIM or Siemens phones.

Q. What do many Blackberry customers have in common with the First Ones of Babylon 5?
A. Both have moved beyond the RIM.

The Blackberry Storm was what ended my long lingering romance with Blackberry. If that was their idea of an iPhone killer it was clearly time to move on to Android.

I actually miss my blackberry. Sure, it only did like 2 dozen things, but it did them well.

My android does 100 things, and only does about a dozen of them well, a dozen of them badly, and the rest are mediocre.

I tried the new HTC today. No keyboard. I typed one word on it with Swype and it said:

"Unfortunately, Text Input has stopped working" or somesuch.

What the actual fark is that?

If I could get a good Android phone with a high quality keyboard, I would not hesitate to do so (well, not in summer 2015 when my contract expires).

Especially with BBM multiplatform the only othersignificant motivator to stick with BB is gone.

Actually no, I had to go watch a youtube video. But that was pretty amazing.

I remember that. But I wasn't sure if they'd spun it off with their latest troubles.
Maybe they'll open the kernel back up again if they keep heading down. (I doubt it, it's still strong in the automotive market.)

Serious question for BB10 user(s), how is the android app integration? Can you block apps from accessing unnecessary areas (e.g. Contacts, location, ect...) And installing personal digital certificates? Easier?
