EvilEgg: It's not like there isn't quality Mexican food available in the US. Taco Bell fills a niche, so I can't get worked up about its low quality.I know 4/20 is something pot related, but don't care much past that.
Cerebral Ballsy: There's this place you can go to look this kind of stuff up. You might have heard of it, it's called "The Internet"
The Stealth Hippopotamus: I don't believe that he is that out of touch with his target demographic
EvilEgg: I know 4/20 is something pot related, but don't care much past that.
Jim_Callahan: EvilEgg: I know 4/20 is something pot related, but don't care much past that. It's an old, long, windy, and extremely boring-ass story from High Times that you'd have to be so high you're about to hit the THC toxic limit to actually find interesting. Some random in-joke that got exposed to a national audience and picked up because stoners usually have nothing better to do than come up with more names for stuff that already has plenty of names.
Omahawg: This is why I continue to encourage illegal immigration: to keep mexican cuisine alive in los estados unidos in the face of this bloated corporate behemoth that microwaves plastic bags of goo to slop to the hogs.
Cerebral Ballsy: devilEther: 666My total is always $6.66 at Taco Bell AND at Chipotle/just a coincidence
TheShavingofOccam123: anyone who knows what 4:20 means AND thinks Taco Bell tacos are for stoners, needs to quit posing.[blogs.westword.com image 400x300]/it looks lonely without the other 5 of them
doubled99: (If you too plead ignorance, 4/20 is an annual celebration of marijuana.)Yep. For all those once a year stoners
drew46n2: 1. Go on popular website on the day your shiatty restaurants start serving "breakfast" on the advice of your hip advertising people who really understand what's "cool" with the kiddos2. Pretend to be clueless that your restaurant is popular with stoners3. Lazy media outlets retweet/ repost/ greenlight blatant publicity/ ad campaign giving your brand even more exposure4. lather, rinse, repeat
Magorn: Holy crap what lousy reporting in this article. The Taco Bell Ceo CLEARLY knows what 420 is because at one point during the AMA he claimed Taco Bell's profits were up "420%" in Colorado since legalizationand way to miss the best line of the chat: A Canadian Redditor asked him when they would be getting the breakfast menu and he said "when you all take Justin Beiber back"
jtown: The fast food chain is hoping its breakfast offerings will help it double its revenue...Yeah, good farking luck with that. I used to work at McD's. Breakfast was always slow compared to lunch and dinner. Because people have to get to work. They're often running late and rarely have an extra 10-15 minutes to hit he drive-thru, let alone sit down and eat a relaxed meal.Well, I guess they did say help double revenue. A 5% bump would help.
jtown: A proper stoner knows it's a daily 4:20 celebration. Either AM or PM, depending on your schedule.
Mark Ratner: Druggies and their 420 code make me weep for the future.

There's a lot of great mexican food. I've seen it.
