what will the media do if every other sentence out of mitt romney's mouth hole is a bald faced lie?

what????!1??1/1?

what will the media do if accusations of administration wrongdoing in benghazi prove baseless?

what will the media do if it turns out there is no such thing as death panels?

what will the media do if almost every single obamacare horror story turns out to be false?

If there is anything we've learned about scandals, no one is "innocent" or "guilty" any more.  They are either "D" or "R".

I'm getting the sense that you're not a fan of this line of questioning from Fox News :P

I like how Fox News doesn't consider itself part of the media.  I agree and all, it's just interesting to see it self-aware finally.

Double-down on the theory the lanes on the bridge were closed out of sympathy for the Lost Heroes of Benghazi?

yeah I'm pretty sure that something that involved nearly every top staff member under him and most of his top appointees to the port authority was done with absolutely none of them ever getting his approval.

plausible deniability is a thing yo.

But that aside, let's entertain the question, no matter how farcical. In that case, despite being a massively hands-on managerial type prone to meddling in the smallest details, he somehow missed this entire giant mess while it was being set up by his underlings, and failed to communicate to them his priorities clearly enough for them to grasp that he would not have approved of the Fort Lee shenanigans. (Possibly not grasp because it wasn't true, but that's immaterial.)

So, even if the media grudgingly admit his lack of malfeasance in office, that still leaves him with an impeachment-grade mix of nonfeasance and incompetence; probably calling for the Governor's impeachment if only pour encourager les autres.

In the last decade or so career politicians have found that they can run on a platform of being an outsider no matter how many years they've already served in office. All they have to do is repeat the outsider message over and over again and it magically becomes true.

Fox News passed the audacity horizon long long ago, probably sometime during George Bush's second term. Nobody outside of the base already committed to them takes them seriously even for a second. Unfortunately for the rest of us, that base happens to make up a significant (read: obnoxiously loud and vocal) chunk of the electorate.

This is related to the Obama incompetent lightweight/Evil mastermind paradox. Which brings to mind the idea of putting Fox News in a box with a randomly discharging canister of poison gas.

Chris Christie's administration is not innocent. This is known. The media will not find out otherwise.

Also, Fox News acting like the news media should apologize for drumming up a scandal that turns out to be less than they made it to be is farking absurd.

Fox News will have wasted valuable time.  They could have been(ghazi) reporting on so many other things than this outright lie(beral).  Are(ugula) we so callous as to deny them other spicy(mustard) stories so they have to report on this empty(suit) crap devoid of any real value?  How long must(lim) we oppress this plucky underdog news agency?  I(RS) guess only time will tell(eprompter).

I just want to point out that obesity in animals is a serious problem. They don't live as long, they have low energy and can potentially become dangerous because they are in pain and frustrated with their lack of energy.

Please people. Put your dog on a diet. He shouldn't be that fat.

Ask why, if he's innocent, was so much of his senior staff able to pull off this stunt right under his nose?

I love how you liberals constantly blubber about Fox News.  It's like you've issued a fatwa against patriotism.  All the while you're greasing one out to Rachel Maddow or some other dude. Seriously, I look at the postings on this page and I see some of you have really been burning the midnight oil.  If it wasn't for you giving such lip, I'd suppose you would be shooting up (oops... gun control!) knifing up some christian school somewhere.  You should relax, and eat some cholesterol sometime.  You're seriously saturated with CDS.

the bigger question is, how will fox news spin it when he is proven guilty

2014-03-28 12:58:36 PM
"The media" could do the same thing Fox News did when they found out they were wrong about Benghazi I guess.

2014-03-28 01:11:35 PM
How can you PROVE that he's innocent?

You have to prove that he was legitimately unaware of something at a certain time.  That he DID NOT have certain knowledge in noggin.

How do you prove that?  It is impossible.  You can only do the reverse, by digging up an email or communication that shows he must have been aware.

Christie can't be provably innocent but that won't stop the Fox News idiots declaring so in a month, or right now (his own lawyers said so!)

2014-03-28 01:25:03 PM
How about run special congressional hearings on "what actually happened" for the next 4 years until we have proof?

We call it the "Issa Method".
