Which of these injuries have anything to do with soccer? All of them could happen to anyone.

If you can't punch someone in the face for farting all the time, what CAN you punch them in the face for?

Some notable (and superior) omissions:

1) Santiago Canizares, Spain's #1 keeper, dropping a bottle of aftershave, cutting a tendon, and missing the 2002 WC.
2) Paul Diogo getting his finger ripped off when his ring caught on a fence
3) Any time a free kick or cross hits someone in the nuts

I was wondering where these were.  The ring thing was pretty messed up.

Tiger's Dave Rozema not impressed.  Fell with a flask in his hip pocket and needed 11 stitches in 1982.  Earlier that year missed while trying to karate kick an opposing pitcher and tore ligaments in his knee.

I remember that Scoonthorpe injury, and the squirrel suit ban they enacted when he recovered. That was indeed a fun Fark thread.

What about getting hit in the head by the head of a bobblehead? Points for redundancy at least.

LOL.  In my baseball league, I do that all the time.  But I wait until I am out in CF before "reaching the warning track".

To be fair there re plenty of American pro athletes who have sidelined themselves with strange injuries.

Looks like a ruff tackle to me. Was the hairy one carded?
