It's going to be on FX.  Given what they've allowed on Legit and what AMC allowed on Breaking Bad, I doubt watering down is going to be much of an issue.  Cable is a different beast from broadcast.

One of the edits for TV they did for Fargo actually makes a line in the movie sound dirtier and more graphic.  The line "We can have a steak and get laid" becomes "We can get a steak and get  rubbed."  Since it's my understanding that the Coen Bros actually do have a hand in how edits for TV are made, they had to have been laughing their asses off at that one.

Stand back, man. shiat. I'm sitting here driving. Doing all the driving, man. The whole farking way from Brainard driving. Just trying to... chat, you know. Keep our spirits up, fight the boredom of the road, and you can't say one farking thing just in the way of conversation. Oh fark it. I don't have to talk to you either, man. See how you like it. Just total farking silence. Two can play at that game, smart guy. We'll just see how you like it. Total silence.

I never understood why that guy didn't just get up and walk away.  You don't have to be treated like that.

I'm hopeful this one will keep me from Jonesing the way "Justified" has after "Breaking Bad" wrapped up, when "Justified" wraps for the season.

It's got Martin Freeman in it, so I'm definitely watching it.

Don't forget Sons of Anarchy and Justified.

Then again, I know what he's talking about. I watched Heavy Metal the first time it aired on TV(Actually cable, TNT, I think), and they hacked the farking HELL out of that thing. Since cable has finally woken up to the concept of not having to follow the same rules as broadcast TV, I wouldn't be so adverse to some of the Stephen King stuff being tried again.

What do you mean, the Stephen King stuff? As much as The Stand and It were cool, they were still hopelessly watered down and bland compared to what they COULD have been. Then again, it's hard to fit a Stephen King book into a movie timeframe, so the mini-series is the way to go.
