Two in one day! This one's a Republican saying she's being targeted over a land purchase because she's an "extreme conservative", but in New York being an extreme conservative only means she wants to give 10 percent raises to the cops and 5 percent to the teachers instead of the other way around.

What's wrong with that? NY needs more cops. If the teachers wanna teach without wearling Kevlar, they can go to a different state.

NY is one of the best examples of big government.  People must be flooding in from other areas of the county to live there as it is awesome.

We have plenty of cops, crime is down, and in the suburbs police do very nicely indeed. Six figures is typical in the NYC burbs. Many cops have even inched up into the 200K range, which is  more than what Ray Kelly was making running the NYPD.

And then there's the bit where cops get to retire in their 40's, padding the shiat out of their overtime the last few years so they can stroll off with a six-figure tax-free pension.

No, I'm not going to cry any tears for the cops.

They used to have big businesses in NY, but the investors are all taking their money to Wyoming because they have such smaller government. Smaller government is better because if there are no rules, you don't have to worry about whether someone else is cheating. It all makes perfect sense if you don't think about it.

Yes it's "faulty" to point out the tiresome right-wing talking point regarding corrupt Democrats.

It would actually be a lot easier just to agree with me that the "corrupt Democrat" talking point is bullshiat, and that the political right has an obsession with it. Or you could have simply not replied to the other poster.

Otherwise, I stand by what I post here, and yes I take it mean that you agree with that ridiculous talking point along with the other poster you replied to.

A lot of politicians are corrupt. Narrowing it down to democrats or republicans is kind of pointless unless they are some kind of anti-corruption crusaders.

However when half of the posts you type contain some variation DEEERRPPP, you reap what you sow.

In other words, you have no good answer for why you're wailing about "talking points" never brought up in the headline, article, or thread, so you're running away. And your clever little "plonk", no doubt, is meant to be the sound of you putting me on ignore, right? Straight from the Fox News pundit playbook, if someone asks a question you don't like, kill their mic. Ever consider auditioning for Alan Colmes' job? Even with all the cue cards stacked in his favor, Hannity still can't hold his own against the man. He could really use an opponent more on his level.

Come on, it'll be fun. If he hasn't eaten them all yet, he might even share his crayons with you.
