But how will young Philly fans learn that Papelbon is a douche if they don't get to see his anus face on TV all the time?

As a FiOS customer I can only hope they don't cave in. I would rather them black out 33 games then pay the stupid Comcast fees.

I already have a $2.50 fee for local sports programming on my bill with FiOS.

Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia is asking pay-TV operators, including Comcast itself, to pay for those additional games on cable, according to multiple pay-TV operators who declined to be identified.

The sports network has warned that it would black out 33 Phillies games on the TV systems that decline to pay.

Comcast Cable has agreed to the extra charges.

You don't say.

I hate the thought of a single dime of my money going to Comcast, but I think FIOS already has CSN.

If he's healthy, I see Ryan Howard hitting into the shift about 200 times, with an equal quantity of strikeouts.  The thought of bunting down the third base line to remove the shift will occur to him some years after his retirement.

Is there a single regional sports network owned by a cable company that doesn't suck?

They're old. Slow. Many coming off injuries. No range. Poor throwing arms. Can't bunt. Poor contact hitters. Best pitcher may have a shoulder problem. Cuban phenom definitely has a bad arm.  Psycho closer. Left handed bat off the bench is a big, fat Venezuelan.  Other than that, they're fine.

Was it just me or was Robinson Cano the only intelligent guy who decided "A shift, ey?  Okay."  Then bunts down the 3rd base line to get a double.
