"I absolutely 100 percent wasn't drunk," he said. "This happened by mistake."

He said he had two beers that evening...

When he arrived, Alima said, he was not sure where to park and drove his Ford Fiesta onto the grass by accident.

Do they even make those anymore?

Never mind. I was thinking of the Festiva.

Well, what the hell did he blow?

First, that is about the most Chicago looking person I've ever seen.

Second, I wonder if they did mean Ford Festiva?

A Ford Fiesta is a similar, older car, but in my experience considerably less common.  Make no mistake, it is still a piece of shiat.

The joke growing up: "yeah, a 40 and a kegger."

"If I really was drunk, why would I go to the police?" said Alima,

Editor fail.

Your info is out of date.  The new Fiesta returned to the US market in that last couple of years, and by all accounts is very nice (as subcompacts go anyway).  In fact, it is currently the #2 ranked "affordable small car" per US News rankings.

Cripes...that took long enough.

This guy was a Northbrook resident, and Northbrook is a pretty pricey suburb, so I would have expected Ol' Two Beers to be driving at least a Beemer and not a Ford.

Whenever I hear Ford Fiesta, it gets that stupid "Everywhere I Go" song by Hollywood Undead stuck in my head.

Never has the phrase "get off my lawn" been more appropriate.

Well honk my hooter.  Thanks for the correction.  It seems my information is out of date.

I have one Ford Fiesta insured in my entire office.  It is a 1980, and it is, indeed, a piece of shiat.

To my knowledge, I've never seen one of these new Fiestas in person, and I do pay some attention to such things.

This is sort of backwards what Chevrolet did with the Nova.  They took a decent muscle car, and reinvented it as a piece of shiat.

Not to mention it can be used in an amphibious beach assault as Top Gear showed .

The Ford Fiesta is always my fallback during a gun control debate.

Someone: "We should outlaw guns, they kill people."
Me: "We should outlaw cars too, they kill people."
Someone: "No, cars aren't designed to kill people."
Me: "You didn't own a Ford Fiesta, did you?"

Another person ruthlessly prosecuted for DUI when they were just parked somewhere safe to sleep it off before going anywhere.

At that point you should start doing donuts and belt out a "git er done."
