13 year olds make mistakes, often get caught and are arrogant enough to think they can brag all over the Internet and to friends that they hax0red the planet....

The author(s) of MyDoom and previous worms that have hit the Internet in the past year exhibited none of those traits. None of those authors have been caught nor do I believe they ever will...they took existing vulnerbilities and used them to their advantage almost flawlessly.

The author of Slammer, the worm that hit SQL servers last January and caused "millions of dollars of damage", still hasn't been caught. The author of the original MSBlaster hasn't been caught. And the author of MyDoom won't be caught.

1. not that many 13yr olds get dates anyway.
2. Dos attacks are the tools of tools
3. Regardless of wether it was poorly written or not it got alot of press wich is more powerfull than any dos attack
4. There is such a thing as a legit ddos attack. If you get a bunch of people to willingly acces a site all at once. Its like stopping the water pressure in a building by flushing all the toilets at once.
