Court documents don't say whether police found the meth they were reportedly looking for.

If they didn't it sounds like lawsuit time. Hell, even if they did.

Heres a fun fact: the ß in German is equivalent to English "ss". If you have ever read older texts, you will see that there are a shiatload of Fs in Early Modern English where an S should be. Thing is is that they arent really Fs. That is known as an Long S. ß is a merger of of the long S and a short S. Thats how the character came to be in German.

Did they find meth? Because as shiatty as cops are, if she was on meth she likely did all that unprompted, because there is nothing a methhead likes more than to take a big screaming drama shiat in public.

I wonder if the cop pictured was one of the ones that removed his name tag during the Toronto G8 summit so that they couldn't be identified for complaints or investigations after they kicked the fark out of people, harassed people, and did other illegal things they shouldn't have.

Removal of name tags is a breech of policy and possibly law but what the hell,  we're cops and we've got hippies to stomp.

Brooks's complaint alleges the officers violated her Fourth Amendment rights and that the city failed to adequately train the cops who searched her house. Judge Roy Dalton Jr. dismissed her initial claims, saying she failed to show that the need for training was "plainly obvious" and didn't specifically explain how her rights were violated.

See, folks, this is why you absolutely MUST have a good attorney, and cannot proceed pro se on even these plainly obvious cases. Even where the cops are being stupid assholes, you have to explain, first of all, what your 4th Amd. rights are: to be secure in your person, houses, papers and effects. How is being forced to shiat on your yard a 4th Amd. violation? Frankly, I don't even think it is, unless the fruits, so to speak, were taken in evidence against her, then they might be unlawfully obtained, assuming the warrant didn't specifically allow them to collect a pile of shiat in the course of searching her house for drugs.

Secondly, just because its obvious to even the dullest potatohead that these cops need a good beating with a two-by-four, you are after all talking to a judge, not a dull potatohead.. What KIND of training did they need? Did they mess up your house while searching it? Because that's what you addressed in your complaint--that they needed training in searching the house, not in treating YOU better while you were handcuffed outside.

So protip to your putative attorney if and when you get one: This isn't a 4th Amd. case, it's a civil rights violation, probably a 1983 violation case (abuse of authority), they violated your right to privacy not your right to an adequate warrant. As for training, they don't need training in how to search a house; they need sensitivity training, and also training in how to take a suspect to the potty when she asks while still on scene if they are worried she's going to flush her drugs down the toilet. It can be done without making her take a crap on the lawn. Good luck with your lawsuit.

Assuming, of course, that she wasn't just a nutty methhead acting retarded.

Generally speaking gangs of cops don't go out of their way to stink up their rides with unwiped ass.

Also, the must have front cuffed her, since she apparently got her pants off. Why would officers intent on mistreating someone ever front cuff? Rear cuffing is already the standard for anyone even remotely non-compliant anyway.

Fluffy- you forgot a few:

http://a.gifb.in/052010/1273487123_police-brutality.gif

...and there's another one where there are 2 cops holding a guy down, One straddling his legs, one holding down his upper body. No problem, except he's laying over a curb, and their weight looks like it's gonna break his back. He squirms a bit, and one of the cops just starts punching his face. Here's a still:

images.sodahead.com

And this one, where a cop tells a 15 year old girl to takeoff her shes. She does, kicking one out the cell door toward him. He and a partner respond by beating her down.

...and about a million more.

fredklein:

I saw a really shocking video the other day.  Cops at a high school. They throw a belligerent kid to the ground. (fine, he was being a dick. I get it.) Then they pin him and start to put his hands behind his back to cuff the kid.

Well the kid is stuck under two cops, and the way the cop is twisting his arm... Arms don't move that way.

The cop just steadily applies more pressure until there is an audible SNAP. The kid begins screaming in agony.

No matter what you, personally, think she may deserve, there are laws and rules the police are supposed to follow. Police are allowed to handcuff people under certain circumstances, and to restrain people in order to handcuff them. This allowance does not include punching them in the face or kicking them in the head, especially when they are already cuffed.

The most explosive situations usually occur when worlds of "respect entitlement" clash. Ie, "You can't say that to me, I'm a xxxx" vs another party with the same "You can't say that to me, I'm a yyy" attitude.

And cops have the biggest attitude over their "respect entitlement" out of anyone.

Leave your own attitude at home when dealing with cops, because you might think your a protected species, but cops are officially the most protected species of all. You can be a female, pygmy, transgender, black, disabled humback whale, and cops can kick your ass and walk away laughing. No consequences.

/I don't condone this shiat
