Wikipedia on Lycopodium powder (I had no clue myself)

"In physics experiments and demonstrations, lycopodium powder is used to make sound waves in air visible for observation and measurement, and to make a pattern of electrostatic charge visible."

It is odorless, tasteless, dissolves instantly in liquid and is among the most deadly poisons known to man.

ChicagoKev: It is odorless, tasteless, dissolves instantly in liquid and is among the most deadly poisons known to man.

LOL... I guess that's why it works so great as an Ice Cream stabilizer, a covering for pills, and even as lubricating dust for condoms.

Oh, I know where ChicagoKey was headed with that, but Lycopodium powder's real description sounds like some sort of early SNL Akroyd-as-a-salesman skit (or even better, Phil Hartman).

I used to (maybe still do somewhere) have a little squeeze bottle filled with lycopodium powder. Used to play with it to make fireballs for magic tricks.  Interestingly enough, all my magician friends have stopped doing fire related magic in their shows so as not to influence any impressionable kids.
