Tech support was outsourced to Z'ha'dum since it was filled with people who knew what they wanted, but couldn't figure out how to do it.

JMS used to write scripts for a radio sci-fi series called: "Alien Worlds", sponsored by MARS candies.  Once  a week I would slap on some Pioneer piezo full-cup padded headphones, plug into the FM radio and listen in the dark; some of the episodes were awesome, all of them had great music and sound effects.  turns out the eps on on sale as downloads or CD collections.

I wish they had finished that video game they were working on.

Unfortunately B5 is dead. With  Biggs, Katsulas, Choate, O'Hare, and Conaway all being dead there is no way JMS could do anything with the universe even if he wanted to and had lottery money to burn.

It's the guy who played G'Kar who died. The actor who played Londo is still alive. Andrew Katsulas was a lifelong heavy smoker so it shouldn't be a surprise that he died of lung cancer.

Most of them are getting on in years. Also B5 wasn't a high budget show. They hired a lot of D-list actors and actors well past their prime, which are also the types to have lots of personal issues.

Most of them are getting on in years. Also B5 wasn't a high budget show. They hired a lot of D-list actors and actors well past their prime, which are also the types to have lots of personal issues.

And yet it was some of the best acting ever seen on TV up to that time. JMS could bring out the best in the actors, such as turning the walking stereotype Pavel Chekov into the multi-layered villain Alfred Bester. At the time, even some professional SF writers on the dial-up online service GEnie's Science Fiction and Fantasy RoundTable (SFRT) remarked that they had no idea that Walter Koenig had anywhere near that kind of range.

There were some pretty good B5 filksongs posted there, including a few by yours truly (I was an Assistant Sysop of the neighboring Comics and Animation RoundTable). One I remember adapted an Animaniacs side-feature theme:

♪♫ Su-sie Ba-boom, Su-sie Ba-boom: ♫♪
♫♪ She lives on a Sta-tion with a Gar-den in bloom. ♪♫
♪♫ Her fel-low crew knows that an-y-time soon, ♫♪
♫♪ Su-sie thinks the Sta-tion will go: Ba-BOOOM!! ♪♫

I also did one to the tune of The Ballad of Gilligan's Isle (of course), but it makes reference to some GEnie SFRT-specific stuff which has little meaning now.

Anyway, I certainly hope that Peter "Londo Mollari" Jurasik remains on this side of the Rim for awhile longer. I missed out on the Twentieth Anniversary celebration, would love to attend the Silver Anniversary, and I hope to see as many of the cast still with us as possible. Also, I have a little filksong skit in mind that would involve him and Jerry "Michael Garibaldi" Doyle. Unlike the others, not a single word of the original song is altered, but only the first four verses are used.

I would settle for remaining cast audiobooks....

that, plus the fact that many of those actors were in their 40's and 50's at the the time and that B5 first aired over 20 years ago, probably has more to do with it.

There were some pretty good B5 filksongs

There is no such thing as a "good" filk ANYTHING.

anyways, while B5 hasn't aged all that well so far as the early 90's CGI... it already went on way past the point of being good... "Crusade" was terrible, as well as most of the follow up straight to video movies...then again, I also disavow Season 5 in its entirety.  just awful.
