Good thing CA (and especially SF) have those ever so effective gun laws.

Yep especially since no one ever gets shot in places where gun laws are more lax.

Cook 2 pounds of tenderloin in a crockpot with a can of rootbeer. Pull apart then mix with barbecue sauce. Serve on toasted buns. For best results, remove bullets before cooking.

Getting shot in the loin would make it tender.

There is a lovely dive bar, Club Twenty One, right on the that corner. Kind of like that bar in Star Wars, except it has a giant window to the outside allowing unlimited viewing of crack whores and junkies outside. Amazing clientele inside.

Yes. Where was the good guy with a gun to deescalate this whole mess?

We really gotta require training for handgun ownership, 7 wounded? Those kids need to invest in a compensator.

Also, I though California set aside a bunch of money to confiscate registered guns from criminals, how'd they miss this group?

Gross. 1. Don't use tenderloin for barbecue; it's too lean and lacks the flavor to stand up to long cooking. Use Boston butt, fresh ham or pork shoulder. 2. Slow roast it, don't braise it. 3. Root beer as a braising liquid? Yeesh.

And we've already had all the appropriate remarks on gun laws just being tits and super effective.  Or the opposite of that, nobody cares.   So without further ado...

A guy once told me he'd never go to California because it's illegal to own a gun there.  He's about as stupid as you, but not as loud.

Not everyone eats pork. My mom is making a brisket this Friday if you want to see what I mean.

Have you tried it?

I had never heard of it until I started lurking Fark threads.  Tried it - love it.  Seems to work best on pork shoulder, but does a pretty fine job on caribou roast as well.

Oh, now brisket is where you want to use braising. I just braised a corned beef brisket last week, with onions and sliced lemons and a Dijon-mustard-brown-sugar glaze. Sinfully good.

I'm sure it's good, but I just generally hate soda pop as a concept. Drinking soda is like directly injecting lard into your fat cells.

Folks still do drive bys?

I guess the nice thing would be that with a Leaf or a Prius you wouldn't have to turn off the engine and roll up slow.

Considering how outrageously expensive the rest of San Francisco has gotten, how the hell has the Tenderloin not been regentrified by now?

You know, I thought it was pretty strange too but it had great reviews so I figured why not try it. It turned out great.

The Martian Manhandler: Considering how outrageously expensive the rest of San Francisco has gotten, how the hell has the Tenderloin not been regentrified by now?

Apparently, the city council passed laws to make it virtually impossible to do that. Rent control, zoning, etc., ensure that poor people have one neighborhood in SF they can still afford.

Don't knock it.
It's birch, beech,  and sassafras.
Nice mix of root oils and water.
Imparts a sweetness with out being cloying.

But you keep dipping that bunny bread in your molasses sauce.

/You know me, it may be a drive-by shooting thread, but I'll have an opinion on a recipe.

Because those people were horribly injured by guns and you pointed out that gun laws do not prevent people from being hurt by guns!

That is deep.

Any particular brand of root beer you recommend? This sounds delightful and there's a root beer shop in town.

Lol. 7 people shot and nobody saw the car that did it.

Tell me that isn't gang violence.
