NatGeo?  REALLY?  Don't get me wrong, I'm an old school MST3K fan and I love NatGeo, but it just doesn't seem like a good fit to me.

I thought maybe syfy would want it back. But then I remembered that it was about a guy in a giant space ship with only robots that he built as his companions. Syfy isn't interested in that stuff. They say ships and space are just a fad.

As the name of the show is Total Riff Off, I'd wager you're right. And they don't own the rights to the Crow and Servo characters. Jim Mallon owns those and the relationship was frosty last I heard

Yes it's going to be Mike, Kevin, and Bill with no shadowrama (I think that's what they called it)  I think it's just a one off special not an ongoing concern.  However, I do believe they will air something on Nat Geo April Fools Day or no.

They also need to avoid any channel with Comedy in the name. They tend to cease to exist after awhile.

RiffTrax will air on National Geographic on April 1, 2014.

A comedy on Nat Geo would be quite a switch (Jimmy Smits!).

I sincerely hope this is real. I also hope that they go back to the shadowrama but as mentioned before, that's probably not going to happen.

If this is some sort of April Fools day joke I'm going to rip some people's nuts off.

Ironic that in both post-MST3K incarnations (Rifftrax and CT), both teams avoid MST3K creator Jim "Gypsy" Mallon like the plague. I wonder if all those tales of him being a dick of a boss were true?

Been trying to lobby the guys at Rifftrax to do two films called "The Middleton Family at the New York World's Fair" and "Good Morning, Mister Johnson". I've wanted to see them riffed since the days of MST3K.

My kids will be delighted. It's been nearly 8 hours since a RiffTrax or MST3k related joke has been made in this house. I believe it was an "At Your Fingertips: Cylinders" riff.

Will we find out if there's beer on the sun?

All of you who are doubting Mike, Bill, and Kevin's ability to riff NatGeo really need to take a look at their take on "Moose Baby."
