Two AAA movies, directed by Gulliermo del Toro are quiet.

Compared to most other AAA movies that weren't bombs, yeah actually.

Anyway, I suspect the quietness is out of consideration for all the cats Hellboy rescues.

I think they're referring to the fact that the series has been moving at fairly low volume but remained profitable more than just people knowing/not knowing about it.

Daredevil Director's Cut was SUCH a better film.  It actually is in my top 5.

I enjoyed the movies and what I've read of the comics. I felt Ron Perlman was excellent in makeup as always. (Though the sans makeup, City of Lost Children role, is my favorite of his.) The second movie's villain elf made me think that Gulliermo del Toro  could make a decent R.A. Salvatore Drizzt movie. Which I would enjoy.

It still has that ridiculously awful teeterttotter scene, which really brings the whole movie down. It makes absolutely zero sense and the people responsible for it deserve to have jars of live spiders dumped over their heads.

I prefer B.P.R.D.

I loved the first one, but the second one didn't have close to the same magic, IMO.
