Jesus who's got the Bruin fetish? I guess it's good we get an NHL thread occasionally, but daily updates on the Bruins is unnecessary.

Meanwhile in barely bubble team land, Cam Ward, despite having an off season, just completely farked over the Jets. Several seriously awesome saves and a spectacular game overall.

On the other end of the standings, Calgary scores 4 in less than 4 minutes on the Oilers en route to a 8-1 ass beating.

The game also included another Oilers sweater tossed onto the ice from the stands and an apparent argument between Taylor Hall and the Oilers coach over a water bottle.

I think it's safe to declare the Oilers the biggest mess in the NHL right now. All that potential on that team being wasted.

How bout some love for the Flyers too? Last weekend beat the Penguins twice in a home and home series. Follow that up by beating the Blackhawks, Stars, and the Blues today. Best team in the east beaten twice and two best teams in the west all in one week. Giroux had a bad start to the year but since then has been ridiculous. And Mason is letting us start to forget about the Bryzgalov disaster and trading away Bobrovsky for peanuts. Since the Olympics break he's been pretty damn good. If they keep playing like this might be seeing those Bruins in the Eastern Conference finals.

I'm still riding my Bruins-gasm, but you are correct.

I think the second hottest team in the league has to be the Flyers.

Going from a dumpster-fire under Laviolette to a freaking righted ship with fully functioning cannons. Berube has done one hell of a job with that team.

The streak will stop soon, the Bruins play the Canadiens on Monday.

I'm a Montrealer, and there's no way the Habs have a better team than the Bruins, but we often beat them anyway for the last few years.

Rask, a great goalie, is an astounding 3-10-2 against the Canadiens...

If Boston dissapeared from the map because of some weird catastrophe, not many would be upset. Maybe the parents of students there.

When it comes to sports, it is literally impossible to root for the horrifyingly goonish Bruins, juiced up retarded Sox, or hapless Celtics (who were pathetic goons until the big trade) unless you're from Baaahston. 12 in a row is just part of the payment from the devil for the souls of your athletes and fans.

Congrats.

You may.

Perhaps it's partially due to personally meeting quite a few Sox fans taking in some games here with a 100% obnoxious douchebag rate. Maybe the brutal white trash accent has not helped Boston's cause. But mostly it's because Boston is everything the rest of Canada thinks Toronto is: arrogant, pretentious, and selfish.

The Blackhawks have looked surprisingly average of late (beating the Blues last week was a bright spot, but the Avs have been giving the Hawks fits all season). I just hope they get back in their groove for the playoffs. Thursday's game vs. the Bruins should be a good test... too bad I won't be able to watch it.

Personally, and obviously not speaking about everyone in Ontario because I don't deal in generalization... I met a bunch of Toronto meatheads when I visited there on many occasions.

GOOOO BROOOOONS!
I'm pleased that everything is coming together nicely down the stretch, but a lot of this streak has come from facing lower end opponents. The next 4 games will be more telling about just how ready the Bruins are for the playoffs with games against a healthier Montreal, Chicago, a desperate Wahington and a hot Philly team.
All four lines are humming. Rask seems back in form after a mediocre period, and Chad Johnson has been far better than expected. I'm cautiously optimistic, but have been a Bruins fan for far too long to start bragging early.
Please don't lose the streak to Montreal. Anyone but Montreal.

I think cuckolding Patrice Roy on home-ice would constitute beating a "higher-end" team.

I could be wrong.

I do think the Bruins lose at home to those dirty, stinky filth-pigs that are the Habs.

But for once in my life, if they do lose...the phrase "zero farks given" could never ring any more true and honest.

I didn't say all the games were all against crappy teams. Beating Colorado was nice though 'cause I hate Roy as much as I hate the Habs.

2014-03-24 09:38:26 AM
I think the thing to remember is that the Bruins are showing up to play, even against lower teams. Remember the last few years they always played the good teams tough and then lay eggs against shiatty teams. During this streak they break the other team's will. Even slow starts are followed up by strong finishes.
