OK, I'll admit I clicked on this with the intent to ridicule it, but damn, that's pretty cool.

Why don't I find it "hilarious?"

Because People in power are Stupid: What happened to the front fender of the bicycle? Who steals front fenders?

If you use the bike regularly (probably been through a couple generations now) breaking them off isn't uncommon.

Well, in fairness for a lot of them I think creepy is the joke.

I give them a lot of points for actually finding similar shirts and so on.  I wonder whose idea this was, my money is on either the dad or whoever's behind the camera, probably the mother or another sibling.

I'll get right on that, with some strategically placed bubbles, lots of Nair and a few gallons of bourbon it should be a pleasant photo-shoot.

Just a word from the wise, no matter how good an idea it may seem, taking a bath in bourbon is not a pleasant experience.

This is a new trend? I guess I'm the ultimate hipster, then, because my sister and I did this 14 years ago, before hipsters even existed.

/Thought it was an old idea even then.

I read this interview with Dennis Hopper a long time ago where he addressed he took a bath of champagne with some hot model and whether it was true or not (it was and what a life that guy had) and how it burned her hoo haa parts.  Not so much his though, but I don't want to waste any bourbon figuring it out.

The best is when the kids grow up to be hot because of all the shirtless childhood scenes they have to recreate.

2014-03-22 07:47:37 PM
Some of the pics I have I think it'd be silly to recreate, like trying to fit nine of us cousins on a single 6' couch for a recreation of one of the family pics (double bonus difficulty of getting us all in the same spot for the first time in twenty years and figuring out where the hell one of the cousins has disappeared to).  Some would be impossible, like the ones of me and my dad, but I'd love to do them.

I'm not recreating the one of me as a two year old, kneeling with my pants down on a toilet looking out the window that was above said toilet.  I don't think the people who live there now would appreciate it.

\come to think of it, why was there a toilet *under* a window?

Terrible Old Man: Remember when men did things? Yeah, those were the days...

don't be ridiculous, Men never did shiat unless they were forced to.. like say.. drafted into service, or were psychopathicly INCLINED to put themselves at risk. be the outcome good or bad. for them or those around them. the true natural condition has always, and forever will be to spread your genetic filth as far ans as wide as you possibly can before something larger and more prolific than you are eats you.

this has never changed over the years or generations.,

striclty speaking on a genetic view point.. the POS welfare dependant jailbird that has managed to pop out 10 kids with 8 partners and has had to suffer no repercussions for that is genetically more successful than your sorry ass that popped out 2.5 suburban kids who will never do anything but hate you for being a weekend warrior dad, but stilll expected to pay all the bills

It'll never die, but yes, Subby is wrong and horribly un-hip.  It's a wonder his or her pants don't fall down.

This has been "a fad" for at least as long as the modern internet and probably was done often before the internet.  Those BOMCs and flappers were a wacky bunch of kids, remember.

Agreed.  This was oddly adorable because of their facial expressions, and maybe in part because of the shots they chose to recreate. The first one of them on the bike made me giggle.

Reminded of someone who compiled a whole bunch of those, including quite creepy topless brother/sister hugging pic. Cute as toddlers, disturbing as adults.

150 years ago, no one would've thought twice about putting him in a dress--that's what children of both sexes wore.  The only odd thing would be he's dressed in blue, when everyone knows blue is a girl's color--a boy should be wearing red.
