If Warren Buffett wants to donate the (billion) to our university, we will take it and use it in good company," Memphis coach Josh Pastner said.

Don't wait up for the money.

Good.  Now we can stop worrying about things that generate an ancillary interest in the tournament and go back to watching college basketball for the high level of play.

I had Memphis!

Unfortunately I didn't have Mercer, so my bracket was already screwed. :(

According to Yahoo's overall leaders, one person still has a perfect bracket, but he didn't enter the billion dollar bracket challenge.

Hmmmmmm...... Warren Buffet........

His brain would make "head cheese"
Use his intestines and blood for blood sausage.....
Use his lungs for haggis...
Kidneys for kidney pie....
Muscles for steaks....
His stomach for a pie (potatoes, meat, carrots, etc mixed together and sewn shut for cooking....
His liver for a pate' and heart cut in slices for a sandwich....

I could see him serving as a buffet for a group of your favorite friends or closest relatives

How did Buffet end up getting all the publicity? Quicken Loans actually put up the money but all I ever hear about is Buffet...

I'm pretty sure he started it, at least made the claim before the details were hashed out and Quicken Loans joined in to promote it (and get as much free info from citizens as possible).

this was one of my best years so far, only missed 2 on the first day.  (2nd day not so much.)  and i still have all my final four without joining the UL/Mich St bandwagons.

Berkshire/Hathaway underwrote it on the infentissimal chance, Buffet did the same thing on those 2 Pepsi "Billion Giveaway" specials  https://web.archive.org/web/20060110222630/http://billionsweeps.yahoo . com/billionsweeps/static/rules.html

I wish I had been home when this happened.  I wanted to submit it with the simple headline:

"Time travel proven impossible"

Note that the chance of getting a perfect bracket is not simply 2^63 (ignoring the 0th round).  Some teams are more likely to win than others, obviously.  A bracket filled out with the higher seed always winning is much more likely than the inverse.

The odds are still very low.
