This means that even "Manos, The Hands of Fate" made more money in it's debut that Speilberg's Firelight.

At the dedication of the new Spielberg Studio at USC, he mentioned that he was turned down when he applied, so he went to Cal State Long Beach instead. The Chancellor of USC said, "Well, we didn't know you were that Steven Spielberg."

Lincoln
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

You're right guys, these all should've gone on for about 10-15 minutes longer than they already ran.

Considering the number of movies the guy has made I'll cut him some slack for 3 (and I haven't seen Lincoln). Still no excuse for Hook or The Lost World, though.

I'm just joshin' - still, given what he's said about the ending to Close Encounters, I might be only half-kidding.

He seriously needs to separate himself from his characters. Just because *you* couldn't do something doesn't mean the fictitious guy in your story wouldn't be able to. Also, just because you're a dad now doesn't mean you need to go back and digitally childproof all your old kid flicks, which were deemed perfectly fine at the time. Yeesh...

Not only did he apologize for the walkie-talkies, he included only the original cut of ET on the Blu-Ray release.

Let it go.

How very dare you! Hook is great. Dustin Hoffman is an excellent Captain James Hook. Also the Lost World is good just on the basis that it has dinosaurs in it.

She did a little known movie titled Space Camp back in the early days. The reason most people haven't heard of it is it released the year Challenger blew up.

She does have chops.

A movie that cost $500 had earning of $501, leaving a profit of $1?

Sounds like young Steven already had a the whole "Creative Hollywood Bookkeeping" thing all figured out. He's a natural.

Some people have said the movie should've ended just as Lincoln leaves for the theater because everybody knows what's going to happen next.

I thought that was how it ended. Or maybe I'm thinking of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. I get them confused.
