I'm with him there. If I could use a blackberry for email and my note 3 for everything else, I would be a happy camper.

If Blackberry would just suck it up and build a 2 screened phone.  3.5" - 4" screen with the keyboard from the blackberry 8700 on one side to do email and text entry and a note 3 screen running android on the other, I would pay $1000 for it in a heartbeat. Just take my money.

I could type 60 words per min on my 8700 while looking at someone and having a conversation with him.

Barry, we may not agree on most things, but I'm with you on that one.

So, the Nintendo DS, but in a phone?  I'm going to say it'd be a pretty spectacular flop, doesn't seem to be what people want.

And wasn't el presidente here a super huge fan of his Blackberry before he even took office? So...predisposition to like a certain piece of technology you are confident and happy with, color me surprised.

If he's sticking with it for the keyboard, I can sympathize.  I upgraded from a Droid 4 to a Moto X back in December, and I still find the onscreen keyboard frustratingly slow compared to a real keyboard.

Although to be fair to the Moto X, it is much more responsive, the battery lasts a lot longer, and being able to activate it entirely by voice is especially nice when I'm driving and I'm not sure of the best way to get somewhere.

Oh, maybe you can fix my wife's iphone. Apparently, there's a corrupt picture or something. It crashes literally every app that involves photos, including the camera app. Farking great operating system there. Apple tech support laughed at us and told us he couldn't help us.

Apple just needs to make a big phone.  They make two sizes of iPads, two sizes of iMacs, multiple sizes of MacBooks, they need to realize that not everyone wants a tiny phone.

Well, it does have a nice camera with a decent macro feature.  Which in your case is probably a lifesaver since you can zoom way in during your heated snapchat forays and myspace angle that micropenis you're obviously compensating for with the continued foamy-mouthed fanboy antics in any FARK thread where any iDevice is mentioned.

I wasn't that impressed with the feel of the current HTC One.  I'd heard a lot of positive press, but it's so light that it feels cheap.  The One Max feels better, but both have subpar specs for right now.

Plus, I really don't like HTC's Sense UI.  The current One has a Google Play edition, so I suppose there's hope that the new One will have one as well.

The Secret Service considered it a major adjustment to allow the president to carry ANY cellphone. There was concern about somebody tracking his location, etc. He's only allowed to use the model he has.

Clinton and Bush basically had to go dark so far as any personal electronic communications during their presidencies.

The last Blackberry I used had a fantastic feature I wish for every time my farking Android S4 rings - it had a button, that when you pressed it, would answer the farking phone call.  Right now I have to dig out my phone, make sure it's oriented properly, pick the green thingee instead of the red thingee, swipe it with my thumb assuming I'm not wearing gloves, press the "number pad" icon which is pretty close to the 'hang up' icon, then press "1" on the number pad before my phone actually answers.  At least 1/3 of my calls go into voicemail because I don't have a farking button on my phone that answers a phone call.  But hey I can surf the web and watch Netflix and check my bank account but I can't answer a simple phone call with one button.

I'll give you that offering the 'total package' has been a big draw for Apple devices, but there's nothing stopping them from offering two different sizes of phones that still offer that.

They could use the same silicon, overall design, and look and feel on both, just make one bigger.  Keep the screen size the same on the iPhone 6 (though I'd say they should bump it to a standard resolution like 1920x1080) and offer an iPhone 6L with a 6" screen and just double the resolution to 3840x2160 so that apps and the interface scale perfectly.

Purely from a business standpoint, i loved BB more than anything else I've tried. Galaxy S4 is a nice toy for multitasking and impressing people with speed/graphics, but onscreen keyboards are crippling for people who have to deal with mobile email frequently.

Plus BB had much better outlook and enterprise/domain contacts integration.

Windows Phone has great Outlook/Exchange integration.  I'm honestly surprised MS isn't making a hard play to become the next mobile business standard, they already have the in with the vast majority of companies for the other enterprise computing stuff.

A physical keyboard is superior to a virtual one for frequent long form use, but how many people are writing out long e-mails on their phones?  I'm sure some are, but while I use mine for work, I mainly just need it to read e-mails, and maybe send a quick reply here and there.  If I need to write out anything detailed I can always just jump on an actual computer to reply.  Having access to new incoming messages quickly is the important thing.
