How do you go 1-0 in the tournament?  You have to play multiple games unless you lose.

They've only played one game, Wednesday's play-in. They play tonight against Wichita State.

That makes sense.

Arkanaut: Supposedly yesterday's games broke 95% of the brackets.  This probably breaks another 95%.

whoa.  so you're telling me 190% of the brackets are broken?

kronicfeld: This Looks Fun: Yes. With the highest winning percentage (.750) of any tournament school with more than one game played, 3rd most wins, and 5th most games, this post makes sense. Lots of sense.

Just like Tom Brady sucks because he only has a 60% win rate in Super Bowls.

They should have given Duke 10 points to start the game. You know, because of what they've done in the past.

It's only fair to those people who live in the past.

Mark Ratner: Duke haters: did you watch the game? They should've won and you know it. They were the toughest, both physically and mentally. They were warriors.

9/10.  Almost took the bait.

Wow, not even the stomping around and constant assault of obscenities directed at the refs from Coach K could prevent a first round exit. Maybe try defense next time?

I was randomly scrolling through the perfect brackets from yesterday for the billion dollar challenge...I found 1 so far that had Mercer over Duke.

I wonder if all those extra teams Chocha K said the ACC deserved in the tournament could beat Mercer.

I laughed at Coach K's comments on how strong the ACC was this year.  Sheeah, right.  The conference was lousy this year and Duke was going to go down pretty early no matter what -- this was a team easy to push around, just overrated.

The Mercer coach post-game interview on the floor: "These guys work 365 days a year, or however many it is now..."

Well, he was pretty emotional.

I might need to go home early and make sure my Dukie neighbor hasn't hurt himself. You'd never know he went to Duke except for the:
-"Duke Alumni" license plate frame on the front and back of his BMW SUV
-Duke stickers he has on the rear, rear left and rear right windows of his car
-Duke flag he flies on game days
-Duke clothing he constantly wears

Close enough. This was a pretty big upset, 99%+ of brackets probably had Duke to win against Mercer.

Anyone who had Mercer AND Dayton to win in the first round either knows NCAA hoops, is incredibly lucky, was smoking some good shiat, or a combination of all 3.

I figure all the normal people who pick obviously are hosed along with people who pick all upsets since some favorites won. We are down to random pickers. I like picking the lexicographically lesser team name or the reddest mascot.

So yeah, my bracket is trash.

Don't know how many total brackets were filled out, but apparently according to the  "QUICKEN LOANS BILLION DOLLAR BRACKET CHALLENGE WITH YAHOO SPORTS

They also have the record for most losses to double digit seeds (5).
