Isnt most of Meico city built on a filled in lake? IIRC thats why when they had that earthquake in the 80s(?) the damage was worse in the newer parts of the city

My parents went there on vacation in the '70s. They said it's gotten so bad, not only will they not go, the don't want their kids to either. A huge, overcrowded cess pit, IMO. No wonder i call them names. I'm sure they're trying to make better lives for themselves, but please, somewhere else, like Dubai.
