FTA "We'll eradicate Twitter. I don't care what the international community says. Everyone will witness the power of the Turkish Republic."

And you thought Congressmen were clueless.

Exactly what I was thinking!

/ Maybe we should host a PBS special on the Streisand Effect; or something

// other topics to include: why posting your contact info is a bad idea and why posting nude piks is a great idea, especially if you're a blonde with big jugs

I think youve started something at the end there that will result in people running screaming from this thread.

Hilarious.  I just read about this (the scandal with him telling his son where to bury his embezzeled money).   Blaming the whole thing on Twitter is great.

Ummmm just for non-monetary purposes, what was the exact address where he told his son to bury the money? And do you have a shovel I can borrow?

I've been following this for months thanks to some clever Instagrammers in the Resistanbul movement. A few weeks ago, the dude's tried to blame the "Robot Lobby" for recent fraud allegations surfacing

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem he was that specific.  That's ok though because both recordings have already been on youtube for a couple months so if there was a location, we're way too late.

FB probably soon to follow. Which means some kind of amazing new revelation is at hand. But what could be better than the billions of euros' worth of gold smuggled to Iran? or the shipments of weapons to Islamist militants Boko Harem in Nigeria? the personal friendship of the prime minister and top men in Al Qaida? the sponsorship of terrorism in Syria?

What kills me is that several of these recordings are released EVERY DAY.
Only the really damning ones make it out of Turkey

From YESTERDAY alone:
Higher Education Council (YÖK) forces Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ) to open additional quota so that the daughter of Turkish Airlines's director can get a direct transfer from Dubai without having to pass any exams;

Erdoğan bashes the director of Mass Housing Development Administration (TOKİ) for selling a prime piece of land in Istanbul, tells him to cancel the sale, and tells him to get his permission before selling any such valuable land.
A foundation belonging to Tayyip Erdoğan's son Bilal was previously exposed for taking over a 1 billion dollar worth of prime land in Istanbul for less than half a million;
and "Specially Designated Global Terrorist"  under U.S. law  (Qadi) and Erdogan hobnob more.

You should have made your headline more turd-like, that way it would have floated to the Main.

Word on the street (well, internet per se) is that the government is trying to provoke people to take the streets and protest before the local elections on the 30th of March. While AKP supporters have changed their DNS and started the hashtag #TwitteriçinsokagaÇikiyoruz (meaning we're taking the streets for Twitter), it is been said that Police Riot Vehicles have literally gathered in #Okmeydani, although there are no protests going on...
Meanwhile, the Opposition party CHP politicians and a large number of people are asking people not to take the streets until the elections.

There is actually one small Circassian (anti-Russia) protest with lots of chanting that I hear right now, but nothing about Twitter.
