I bet the same officers who feel they may need to sleep with a suspected female subject, would never imagine a scenario where they may have to sleep with a male prostitute.  Just sayin.

I have heard from Navy vets that Honolulu is the third most dangerous city in the world for getting a hooker who turns out to be a trap, behind Bangkok and Berlin.

I thought this was the law everywhere.

Back in the late 90s around here there was a mini controversy when a Russian Mafia-based massage parlor was shut down as a front for prostitution.  Our noble police conducted a VERY thorough investigation, consisting of 6 or more months of taxpayer-funded BJs, sex, and handjobs.  Several officers wanted to be REALLY sure what was going on and returned 3-4 times per week for 6 months.

The idea of a police officer having sex with a woman who is forced into prostitution as a victim of human trafficking makes me feel sick to my stomach.

Basically, police officers raping women.

Every once in a while, the cops probably run afoul of a mahu-mahu. I guess they have to take one for the team then.

Looking at it from that angle there are lots of such laws. Your local , state laws may vary of course Police officers under exigent circumstances are exempt from traffic laws for example. They are exempt from many firearm regulations such as concealed carry while off duty etc etc.

Of course such exceptions invite abuse so the punishment for abuse needs to be severe as I have heard more than one police officer say "it is hard to break the law when you are the law". Also do not think it is necessary for an undercover cop to have sex withe a prostitute.

I just wonder how a police officer explains to his/her spouse support for such an exemptions to the law.

And so do they get paid while cracking the coconut?
It's one thing to drill the daylights out of a woman being held in near slave conditions with their human rights denied while on the clock -
I just want to know if it's hazardous duty or perhaps overtime pay.

If they contract an STD are they eligible for disability?  Because you know, AIDS is pretty disabling . . .
What are the departments rule on condom use has anyone outlined that little issue?

Just another seventy five "encounters" and we'll have enough evidence to make an arrest... unless she offers up another seventy freebies to get off the hook.

All on the taxpayer's bill, of course.  Of course.

Well, human trafficking is essentially a myth.

But I doubt that a prostitute would knowingly consent to sex with a cop, so it's still rape.

I could see it if the investigation was on a place like a massage parlor or strip club, because you wouldn't know for sure if all the women are offering services if you arrest the one who offered without investigating the others. Still there are ways around such things like refusing the offer and then returning asking for a different woman. It would be better if they just legalize prostitution and regulate it since it would bring it out into the open and help reduce human trafficking.

The Police closed one down like that in Dallas.

Unbeknownst to the Police, there were cameras in the rooms that uploaded to the owners house and not the VCRs in the office that were accidentally erased.

The owner attempted to show the tapes of the cops having sex to the Grand Jury, but the DA dropped all charged immediately.

Farking Lurker: Paging C-12 whats your take good buddy?

I submitted this one. There are times that it's necessary for cops to break the law to enforce the law, such as buying drugs to bust a drug dealer, but this isn't one of them. As someone pointed out, some prostitutes are victims and I can't imagine any benefit to victimizing them further. Beyond that, I don't know why a cop would want to have sex with a hooker anyhow. It's easy enough to bust prostitutes without partaking in their trade. Prostitution is a dumb crime anyhow. Women are willing to sell and men are willing to buy, so who is it harming?

This makes twice in the past couple of days that I've agreed with you.

Apparently this winter was even colder than I'd thought and Hell has indeed frozen over.
