Bucky Katt: Like anyone here needs a reason to drink.
Kuta: "Uncle Pat" as he was affectionately known throughout IDG was truly a great man. I worked at PC World for 14 years and met him on many occasions. It was a genuine treat for him to hand deliver Christmas bonus checks to each and every United States employee. He would walk around with the CEOs and department heads. After some brief pleasantries, he would always ask, with a twinkle in his eye "So how has [boss name] treated you this past year?" Sometimes very interesting answers would come out of people's mouths, but that really kept everyone on their toes. I was privileged to have the same 10th anniversary dinner with Pat and a dozen or so IDG co-workers at the Ritz Carlton in San Francisco. Pretty cool breaking bread with the most down-to-earth billionaire in the world./RIP Pat McGovern
