D'awwww!  7 candidates this time? Snatched linkies for so can see. Seem to waste my pd entitlement by not Seeking during week.
Another possible copy wrong: seen this AM when went to Google (where I nearly never go) to find info not likely findable on GoodSearch, & still not found -- think Person Sought only listed in Top Secret Atomal locations/sources.  That was Plumbicon's security clearance acquired to work at HQ Central Army Gp, bitty NATO HQ 99.4% surely no longer there in kaserne between Mannheim & Heidelberg on Neckar River.  He only there 6 mo before passing audition for Am Forces Network, & was allowed (with regret of CENTAG supervisors) to transfer there.

Keep being told from 2 many places that I need to knuckle under & agree to do FB. & al-so-so regret all that can't be Made Better by flip of widget. Even ink-filled widget on approved slips of paper only works in specified situations.
Out-take from tail/tale on main pg, filling up since copied this:
Your dog wants something better than what you're feeding him  8< snip
Kristina Pattison and Thomas Zentall of the University of Kentucky tested the 'less is more' principle by feeding baby carrots and cheese to ten dogs of various breeds.
They found the dogs would willingly eat cheese and baby carrots when offered, but showed a preference for the cheese.
However, when given a choice between one slice of cheese, or the cheese together with a piece of carrot, nine of the ten dogs chose the cheese alone.
The researchers claimed this demonstrates that the dogs chose less of their favourite snack over a larger quantity of food.

Oh man, tired, need drunk munchies, one last shot of Northern Lights left.  Good episode of 'Vikings' tonights, looking forward to next week.

Anybuddy heard anything about Phelps?  Is it THE Fred Phelps that died?  I think it would be a cool gesture on us veteran's part if we all got together and presented the WBC with a ceremony of full, military honors.  To show that, in spite of personal religion an politics, the ability to show honor and respect to a fallen foe trumps any personal righteousness on the individual's part.  Or maybe that's the Canadian in the whiskey talking?

In any event, gotta go.  8PM to 12 midnight with 100 posts.  25 posts per hour.  If we can maintain this steady rate through the whole of Caturday, we could achieve 2000 POSTS.  Imagine that?

Since I know the Caturday Family is wondering

how the first court date went

for the !*@%# who cut me...

/this is what I had sent  Sherpa yesterday:

oh!OH! you should have  seen the LOOK and reaction from that bastard when
he finally noticed me in the court room and I gave my victim impact statement.
I only swore once during it. I  MADE him look directly into my eyes as I said it
to him.
I watched him go dead white, to green, and I am pretty sure he crapped his pants.

Afterwards I was speaking to the Judge and police officers and I was told they never
had someone who had the courage to tell the person being charged with attempted
murder:
"I am NOT afraid of you. I'll tell you something: I have been fighting cancer
(now 3 different types) for 14 years come april 1st. If cancer can't even kill me - what
in whatever god you believe in makes you think you could have? I am not afraid of
people like you, you just piss me off. For the rest of my life I will have to deal with
the damage you caused my hand. I depend on my hands to do my job. THAT is
what pisses me off the most. I don't need any more hardships buddy. I only have
ONE question for you that I want you to answer to me:  What drug or drugs were
you on when you decided to pull that knife on me after you already had my bag
and aim for my throat? I work in healthcare and I am curious. So, please answer
my question: what drug or drugs were you on?"

I give him credit. He gave me the answer. To which I will definitely use to research
so I better know the way people act when on shiat like this. Because I take every
chance I can get to learn something new.

There were a few other things that I said, but that was the best part.
I am proud of myself that I remained calm throughout it, though you could tell just
how angry I was at him because my irish accent was pretty strong.

And this was just the preliminary hearing. I am going to try to make it to
the others as well - if not then definitely the date when he gets his sentence.

Yippee caturday!
Update from last week, the mother feral cat is mean(to be expected) but getting healthier, her kittens are (duh) cute. She seems to be a good mother. I have had to walk to the emergency vets due to the wife's car being in for repairs and her taking mine. Every time I think I am getting ahead on bills the universe blindsides me.

My real smile for the week was going into the barber. The little yippie dog that owns the place was very disgusted at me for only bringing in a pig's ear as a tribute. The whole time my hair was getting cut I was being growled at. My wife (who had the car) hit a local butcher shop for a smoked bone on her way home and I walked over and gave my offering and he was appeased. One time I brought in a medium sized bone and the little guy was a riot. He was showing off the bone to everyone multiple times going up and down the shop. The problem was that the bone was heavy for him and the back paws were not on the ground, only the front paws. Really, really funny.
Best and hopeful wishes to everyone on caturday,

Diocletian's Last Cabbage: Oh man, tired, need drunk munchies, one last shot of Northern Lights left.

/oh well, can always dream
//gonna dream real sooooon
///zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Yes, it is THE Phelps of "The Most Hated Family in America" and "God Hates Sweden" and all that other crud. No, that's not the Canadian in the whiskey talking for ya, btw, that's the Heathen in ya talking. When I heard he died, the first thing I thought wasn't "gotta honor ol' Fred" because I despised the man. What I did think was "his passing must be noted to acknowledge him as a powerful adversary to common human decency and the building of relationships among men to promote human unity regardless of differences among groups" then wondered if his grave would be dance/piss accessible. I knocked the dancing/pissing on the grave out of my head IMMEDIATELY because that would be incredibly dishonorable conduct on my part. Why lower myself to his level? I will not. So I raised a mug of coffee and a Vicodin to his memory and whispered a "good game, ya crafty old bastard. say hi to Papa Loki for me" because honestly, who else do you think could inspire someone to gain fame and money won from lawsuits by trolling the entire world IRL all while using various amendments as weapons and not paying taxes on any of it because his family is a church? FFS, that was BRILLIANT. Awful, but brilliant.

Here, have a cat.

Happy Caturday Warmup Day everybuddy! My mom had to go in for oral surgery yesterday so she's only eating eggs, yogurt and mashed banana, supplementing with protein drinks. She's very funny when she's on pain medication. Vicodin has never effected me the way it does my mom. She *staggers* into my Lair last night and said she wanted to go to our favorite FroYo place (Yogurt Land!!!) but instead of saying "You fly I'll buy" it came out a slurred thing about flying. It's OK, mom. I'll drive us. :-) Please just be reaaaaally quiet when we get there so they don't call the cops about wandering drunks or something.

catmandu: My cat sitting job has opened up again. Ratchett and Riley's person fell off the wagon again in a big way so her sister is taking her to her home on the east coast to try and figure out what can help. I'll be sitting them again until further notice.

[i283.photobucket.com image 750x563]

Riley:

[i283.photobucket.com image 750x563]

Oh, HAI!!! I am still trying to get caught up on my emails and I think you're next on my list. However, the answer to the topcoat question (I skimmed them all to make sure no one else had died and I think you're the one who asked) is Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. I even use that to make my own nail transfers/decals as it's easier than painting with my non-dominant hand on my dominant hand. Stuff is AWESOME. Runs about $10/bottle at places like Rite Aid OR you can do it the thrifty, poor person's way and grab it from an eBay store for half the price with free shipping. I see it there a LOT, so I am always fully stocked on the stuff. The important stuffs in life, right?

I'm sorry to hear about that person's relative falling off the wagon. That's rough. My sister has that problem and has been in jail a couple of times because of it. She'll do really well for a while then suddenly fall off the wagon and no one can stand to be around her - especially me. I am her favorite target for some of the most petty, hateful behavior imaginable, with occasional touches of actual physical violence directed at me, all of it for no reason at all. The other half for reasons that she's made up and sincerely believes because she's horribly wrong upstairs. That's how she's been since we were kids, she just added booze into the mix as she got older and since she's never matured emotionally because of her drinking problem, I still am her favorite target. I hope Ratchett and Riley's person knows when to step back, because there's not a whole lot you can do with a relative like that except visit them in jail, the hospital or rehab. (or with my sis - all three because that's kinda the way things go)

BTW, rehab doesn't seem to work on the worst of the cases. My sis has three drunk driving convictions and five or six stints in rehab, several hospitalizations - this has been an ongoing problem for many years now. She started drinking again right before Halloween. I saw her last week and you could smell the cloud of booze from several feet away, but she was walking and talking like a normal, sober person, That's incredibly bad. I will be very surprised if it doesn't literally kill her some day and probably some day in the not too distant future, so it's incredibly bad AND sad. I really, really feel for Ratchett and Riley's person, because I know exactly what it's like having a relative who is that ill in that way. :'-( I will definitely light a candle for them tonight, because they need strength and support just as much as the sick relative does.

Haz a kitteh or two! I need to go to the drug store for my mom, then I can answer the last few emails and post cats! YAY!!!

I only swore once during it. I  MADE him look directly into my eyes as I said it

I watched him go dead white, to green, and I am pretty sure he crapped his pants.

Afterwards I was speaking to the Judge and police officers and I was told they never
had someone who had the courage to tell the person being charged with attempted

"I am NOT afraid of you. I'll tell you something: I have been fighting cancer
(now 3 different types) for 14 years come april 1st. If cancer can't even kill me - what

people like you, you just piss me off.

There were a few other things that I said, but that was the best part.

So some of you may remember last week I posted about how my mothers cat had a fatty lump, which the Vet referred to as a tumor, and wanted to perform sugery because according the X-Ray, "it hadn't spread". So the cat has the surgery, everything goes well, seems to be recovering fine.

Today the Vet calls my mother and sells her the biopsy shows Fibrosarcoma, and immediately goes on about consulting an oncologist and radiation, and chemo, which is both A. Unaffordable and B. Quite frankly absurd to put a near 13 year old cat through. Unfortunately the vet was light on further details as far as prognosis, etc. etc., and that's how it was left.

This is very upsetting to me obviously, part of me almost wishes that it was over now, so I could grieve and move on, rather than dragging it on for however long it might be, knowing what the inevitable conclusion will be. Anyone have similar experiences, what is the typical prognosis is since we're just going to let it be? Two months? Six months? A Year? I'm just really bummed out now about the whole situation, especially since the Vet kind of set our expectations pretty high, only to have them drop to nothing once reality set in.

I am so sorry sweetie, that totally sucks. Fibrosarcoma is one of the cancers that can occur at a vaccination site directly because of the vaccination. Did the vet give your mother's cat his vaccinations where the tumor was found? I am guessing that it was the scruff of the neck. For 15-20 years the protocol has been for vets to give cats their vaccinations on their legs so that if there is a resulting sarcoma the leg can be removed for a better chance at a cure. Unfortunately many vets still give them at the scruff of the neck. Ask the vet about the last vaccinations given in that area. They should have a manufacturer and batch information. Some of the manufacturers do give a settlement (usually less than $1,500) to go towards the vet care. You can also research online the prognosis for this kind of cancer.

Did they do a biopsy or full removal of the tumor. If it was full removal, did they get clean margins?

It was a full removal of the tumor with clean margins as far as I am aware. I am having difficulty finding prognosis information in regards to just letting it be, and not treating it otherwise. All the websites give prognosis information assuming you have 5 grand to drop on Chemotherapy and Radiation, which none of us do. I will mention to her about the vaccination information. Thanks for the help.

I have baby locks on all my cupboards because of Gremie. I used to just have locks on the bottom cupboards but Gremie started knocking things out of the top cupboards as well. Jack was thrilled when Gremie dumped the dog biscuits on the floor.

Word.

Many, many years ago I actually dumped a guy after having the "he's a luser who will never help because he's an exceptionally good looking chauvanistic douchebag who doesn't want to, not because he's truly stupid" epiphany. He came over to get me for our date (like, an hour early!) and next thing I know he's sighing heavily and "helping" me do dishes because he was getting tired of waiting for me. His much faster technique was turning on warm water and then wiping the plates under the running water before putting them, still wet and unclean, in my cabinet. He did a couple of them like that right in front of me. It took me a minute before it really registered because I was so shocked. I yelled at him "what is wrong with you?" he gives me this look - like he's challenging me, but his feelings are hurt at the same time - and says "I never had to do dishes before. The women in my house always kept our kitchen clean". Thank the GODS I wasn't attached to him, because I could hear the round one bell in my head right before I heard the nuclear explosion and felt my eyes get all twitchy. I think he was just an asshole who liked to start fights and did not realize I wasn't that into him. I mean REALLY? No. Just NO.

My opinion - such as it is - is the same thing I tell my other fighters of the C (as I reach my 14th year in april) - if your cat is not suffering, nor is in any pain, and your cat doesn't give one hot damn what the vet says - you could be with your friend for more years than you'd expect.
If your cat (like I tell my human fighters here) decides its not worth it to keep going, then nothing you or anyone else says or does can stop the fast decline to peace.
That probably makes zero sense.

If your cat is full of piss and vinegar and maybe just wants to spite everyone - expect your friend to be around for as many years as it decides to.
/I have known other cats who got same diagnosis - decided not to do the chemo and the cat lived to almost 22. Never in pain, never suffered.

Oh, man, I am so sorry. I've heard of fibrosarcoma but never in all my years (even when I was in veterinary) have I seen one. It's not just vaccinations they are linked to, btw. It's ANY injection and the reason for this is unknown. I've never even heard of it in a dog, but I know they can get it. At least that's what the Merck's Manual told me when I was in my schoolin'. They're not very common - at least not in my area. Pooey. I was so hoping it was the common liposarcoma - those types of lumps usually are - and she'd be just peachy fine.

Prognosis is poor, as I'm sure you know. Just keep her happy and comfy. How much time she's got probably depends a lot on if they got it all and if it's already metastized or not. Because they are so rare in my area (or simply not treated, which is why I never encountered them when I was in veterinary) I don't have the experience to say much more than "supportive care", but that's because it's what I would do. Money is the primary issue, with age a huge secondary reason to not put her through that.

I am so sorry for your family. That just blows. :'-( There are not enough frowny faces in the world for that crap.

Because they are so rare in my area (or simply not treated, which is why ...

I had an old manager who had a sarcoma on his face they removed. Size of a golf ball. Once it healed and because he gives absolutely zero farks what anyone thinks - he didn't get the plastic surgery to cover the whole - so you could see right into his mouth, see his teeth. Him and I always got a laugh out of the startled and OMFG looks he got from staff but he eventually got it covered so he could eat properly.

/nooooo idea why I am even sharing this....

Just got home from 3 days in hospital. Now on cocktail of anticoagulants, one week behind on chemo, many more restrictions on activities.

Tough shiat, cancer, I'm still gonna kick yer ass!

Good to hear from you fellow C fighter and friend!

That is so disgusting it's funny. I'd totally go to the Denny's near the mall every Sunday with that one. Tell the churchers that take it over every week that it was a type of stigmata or something. Is it still blasphemy if you're not in that religion? I've always wondered that...

Oddly enough I've had a couple doctors and some people say I should use vitamin E oil and other stuff
to minimize the battle wound on my hand.

For the life of me I can't figure out  WHY I would want to hide it?
No offense to anyone who suggested it to me -but I want it to be
loud and proud.
I'm not ashamed of it - I SURVIVED.
And I want it as noticeable as possible as a warning to all the other
a**holes out there who look at me and think I'm an easy target.

I've been doing very well saving what little moneys I get toward the Disneyland trip! I am right on track with it, which is awesome! Basically, anything I want like nail polish or a new book or something that I see online, I make myself make TWICE the amount it would cost so I can buy it and put half of it in my Disney account. This has not only reined in my little early morning shopping sprees for more "health and beauty" stuff than anyone could use in a lifetime because I like it and it was on sale a modestly priced addition or two to my eyeliner and nail polish collections, it has also built up my savings account while still meeting my monthly expenses. I'm so proud of me! Thanks for posting incentive pics for me. Those make me sooooo happy!

spman: akimbotoo: spman: So some of you may remember last week I posted about how my mothers cat had a fatty lump, which the Vet referred to as a tumor, and wanted to perform sugery because according the X-Ray, "it hadn't spread". You can also research online the progno ...

You are welcome sweetie. There is also a Yahoo group called VAS (Vaccine Associated Sarcoma) and they have a huge amount of information to share and strong shoulders for support. They are a wonderful group of people. I joined years ago when my Niki was diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma and they really helped me a lot.

Because Gremlin was growing bigger than Ben Hurr, and was a loooong kitten - How I never noticed them (probably Benner's) doing recon to find
out where I hid the treats...
But the day I came home to find that high cupboard open and their treats gone and their treat ball broken into pieces on the floor...
was the day I installed baby locks on all the cupboards.

Man! they were so pleased with themselves - then gave me hell for the locks hahaha!

One day I was sitting at the computer at home probably reading Caturday when I heard a crinkle crinkle at my feet. Zuma had brought the treat bag to me! I had forgotten to put it in the cupboard that one time!

I had forgotten to put it in the cupboard that one time!

hahahahah!
and let me guess - you were never allowed to forget were you?
hahhahaha!!!
The boys did that to me. They would literally "herd" me into the kitchen and show me exactly which cupboard they were in.
Even though at times they drove me nuts - I have to say - never did I learn so much as I did while I had those two.
Every day I laughed that I had them. For 8 months straight. I can't remember a time in my life that was just like that.
I haven't laughed every single day for 8 months straight since.
I try to find something to laugh about or at every day...but it doesn't always work.
Not the type of laughing those two brought out in me.
Strange, isn't it?
fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net
PERFECT example.
The day Gremlin came home a week after Ben Hurr did.
That was Ben Hurr's straw. Gremlin wanted to play with it but Benner's was having none of it.
To show me the very first time how different their personalities were - Ben Hurr was under his chair hissing and growling at Gremlin.
Gremlin decided to "pretend" to fall asleep near that straw.
Over the course of an hour - Ben Hurr would slowly sneak up to try to get his straw, while I caught Gremlin "peeking" with one eye to see if
his new friend was coming closer.

This was their most favourite toy (besides feather on a stick. wire hanger on a door knob, the bathroom sink, any type of paper, floofy balls...)
I remember  Domari telling me if I really wanted to get them - to stick a golf ball in it.
So I did.
OH MAN.
Drove them nuts! they tried forever to get the balls out.
You should have seen the LOOK on their faces the day they decided to try a group effort and succeeded.

2014-03-21 08:07:32 PM
So, I ask my son "your grandma can't eat and I thawed a couple chicken tits. whatcha want for dinner?" cuz I'm thinking season/grill the chicky tits, make some rice pilaf and I got some of those bagged, prewashed/cut fresh green beans on mark down for 75 cents per pound bag at the market today and they are nommy if you blast 'em in the oven. Roasted veggies are always nommy. He says "we can get fast food if you don't feel like cooking" - like he's doing me a favor by offering to let me buy him Carl's Jr. I said "nooooo, I cannot afford fast fuds. I am broke. Very broke." He thinks a while, looks around the refrigerator, flips through one of my notebooks and his grandma's handwritten cookbook she's working on and says "what about this? Didn't you used to make this when I was little?" and he shows me a picture of Chicken Cordon Bleu. FFS. Now I gotta pound chicken breasts out or buy fast food because I'm having a minor flare up causing some pain in my arm and hand, but chicken cordon bleu sounds good and I haven't made that in a long time. Like, at least 10 years. Well, not at home, anyway.

Jerk needs to go outside and get a girlfriend. Who knows how to COOK. Not just boxed dinners, either, but half way fancy-ass shiat. (Chicken Cordon Bleu isn't really fancy, I don't think) Is that considered "fancy"?

Piece of Kitty Bling bought on sale at SwAdelines Winter Warm Up ~2012, educational wkend Region's since re-named since it's expanded by 4 chori. Had heckuva time booking room for 4 of us & getting all listed in room reservation.  Gave this to tenor chorusmate owned by at least 3 cats right after WWU, who's one of 4. Actually all 4 of us owned by cats; there's another lead who's retired RN, owned by at least 2 & genuine baritone purramedic owned by 3-4.  Her employers maniacked her days off, took her out of chorus for a while. That now fixed, also her insufficient dues caught up by friendly lend to get her back in good fiscal standing. Payoff for loan may be chance to actually meet cats who own her; think they too are Coonies, like Queen Mum Furry & sons.

I am also a believer that scars don't need to be hidden or masked, application of Vitamin E or similar can just make them more comfortable (i.e., less tight and itchy) to the bearer as time goes on.  I am not ashamed of my scars, but it's always nice to not have to live with them being a constant source of pain (I speak both physically and metaphorically...)

spman: So some of you may remember last week I posted about how my mothers cat had a fatty lump, which the Vet referred to as a tumor, and wanted to perform sugery because according the X-Ray, "it hadn't spread".

That sucks. I feel your pain and understand why you might be peeved at the vet. 13 years has been a good run for your Moms cat, though.

AlienDandelion: Another picture to show just how BIG he now is...
and I mean BIG.
But I will always love him, even if I'm old news to him now.

/picture of Gremlin outside at his castle. Think this was taken last year sometime...
//I miss him so much but I know I had no choice. And he is becoming the majesty he was meant to be...or the biggest pain in her ass she's ever seen! >;D

Do you ever get a chance to visit him?

AlienDandelion: And I can't find the picture of Ben Hurr playing in  Spinach Gunk's long, long hair.
He loved him some long hair.
First time I ever saw Gremlin jealous. Ever.

But I did come across this she made:

John Buck 41: AlienDandelion: Oddly enough I've had a couple doctors and some people say I should use vitamin E oil and other stuff
to minimize the battle wound on my hand.

For the life of me I can't figure out  WHY I would want to hide it?
No offense to anyone who suggested it to me -but I want it to be
loud and proud.
I'm not ashamed of it - I SURVIVED.
And I want it as noticeable as possible as a warning to all the other
a**holes out there who look at me and think I'm an easy target.

yup.
It sure is.
And its not being very cooperative anymore in wanting to heal and rehab.
At first it was and now it's not so not sure why that is.
Oh for sure it still hurts like a biatch, and I am not allowed to use it to lift or hold anything more than 5lbs.
Even typing (which is the easiest part of rehabbing it) I'm having trouble since the  thumb was almost cut off.

Other injuries are usually brought on by my own clumsiness, or from my surgeries.
ok so I have ONE scar on my *looks* HEY! same side! left shoulder from childhood when my younger sister stabbed me there with a knife.

/my life...so....WTF

Real Women Drink Akvavit: Now I gotta pound chicken breasts out or buy fast food because I'm having a minor flare up causing some pain in my arm and hand, but chicken cordon bleu sounds good and I haven't made that in a long time. Like, at least 10 years. Well, not at home, anyway.

Um, whut??  What do you mean YOU have to do it??  He's got the recipe right there in front of him!  Let HIM do it!!  Stop enabling him to be reliant on you to feed him!  Silly woman.... :D

I was going to say - you guys are right.
My hand is not healing up as good as it was in the beginning so it's making rehabbing it really hard to do. I move fingers - especially (duh) the thumb and pointer finder and it tries to stretch the skin and everything and hurts like a mega biatch and it's bled a couple of times. So I don't know why it was healing up amazingly quick after I got the stitches out at the beginning of march to what it's reduced to now.

/I need  both of my hands for work!

So, I got all the "news" on the crappy-ass neighbors! Apparently the daughter (that doesn't live there anymore) has to go to some sort of rehab, but won't let her folks have custody of her 4 kids...so they are moving to wherever she is going. Plus, the Mom lost her job...again, so they can't do rent. The Dad has been on "disability" pretty much ever since they moved in about 3 years ago, so they have no income. I am so happy right now!! Within a month, they will be GONE!!!!! :D

HAHAHA!  I just favorited you for this!

On a semi-related note: any app coders out there that can make an upgrade to the Fark server software?  How about some software that can interpret the captions on a jpg, or other image file, and display it in brackets in the bracketed italicized text when you reply to someone's post?  Be a lot less confusing then some (idontow.farkyou.com/image69xyomommasucksshiatdick) ya know?

No...if he did, they would not still be there. But I have the phone number of the landlord over there. There will be no more problems in the future.. :D And when they are gone, I am going over there and spray the whole fence line with Roundup!!! They have let Virginia Creeper vine, and Trumpet vine take over.....and that crap comes up in my back yard!!! Ooooh...I am so excited to see them leave!!
