Saw him play last year, but I was to busy watching Bill Buckner coach and trying to see if Gretzkys sisters were around

Kane County is part of the Cub system? I could have swore they were KC's A team.

you know you're bad when the team that your dad manages trades your rights.

Wow, that's gotta be some sort of time portal rip into 1988. Mike was the Dodgers catcher for the World Series.

I was hoping this was about Paulina.

Leaving disappointed.

They changed pretty recently IIRC. Maybe about 2 years ago? Peoria used to be the Cubs A team when Ryne was learning to manage.

...according to wikipedia, they switched to the Cubs in the beginning of 2013.

This!

fark Gretzky, Mike Scioscia 's kid was traded right out from under him.

I'll bet Mrs. Scioscia is going to be pissed.

I saw her a couple of months ago with Dustin Johnson at a bar we all frequent.

Her legs were in the air while she was getting photo bombed.

Just the way she likes it.

She really is the "great one" of attention whores.

Maybe but playing for your dads team has trouble for both of you written all over it

Marge Simpson: Baseball manager Mike Scioscia! Didn't you get radiation poisoning working at the nuclear plant?
Mike Scioscia: I sure did, but it also gave me super-managerial powers. Also, I demagnetize credit cards.

Gretzky's an outfielder. There wouldn't have been a job for him with the parent club in Chicago being that far down the organizational depth chart even if he met their best expectations. And I wouldn't be surprised if the Cubs tried to turn the younger Scioscia into a catcher like his old man. Odds are he learned more marketable baseball skills from his father than Gretzky did, and if you're slugging under .300 in Class A ball, catching is your only shot at sticking around.

Neither team had anything to lose by making this trade.

Pretty much this. What the Cubs really need in the minors is a stockpile of arms.

Kane County was an affiliate of the A's from 2003-2010, KC from 2011-12 and the Cubs since 2013.
