(Polygon)   Microsoft wants to implement a system that rewards good behavior on Xbox Live. Probability of this working is about the same as the probability of everyone I've played with on Xbox Live having actually slept with my mom   (polygon.com) divider line 84

Sooo..... Pretty soon, then?

2014-03-20 08:05:43 PM
Shiat, I don't even have Live, let alone an Xbox, and I've f*cked your mom. In your bed.

2014-03-20 08:06:01 PM
So it's guaranteed to work?

2014-03-20 08:08:23 PM
That's funny, because I only reward subby's mom's bad behavior.

2014-03-20 08:11:17 PM
I don't think you know your mom as well as you think you do

/or as well as we do.

2014-03-20 08:15:33 PM
I didn't sleep with her.Bit of a line up when i was done.

2014-03-20 08:18:09 PM
heh I could so see people gaming such a system if the rewards were worth the efforts.

2014-03-20 08:20:45 PM
During a talk at GDC 2014 aimed at ID@Xbox developers, Frank Savage, partner and lead Screwer of Subby's Mom at Microsoft, said that rather than just ding players for poor, unsportsmanlike behavior on Xbox Live, players may be rewarded for exhibiting exemplary behavior towards subby and subby's mom.

So pretty good?

Your mother is a whore.

Most online games against other people are best enjoyed by muting every player. Worst bullshiat is spoken on XBox Live. And heaven forbid you dominate someone on XBox, then they turn into the whiniest little biatches ever.

2014-03-20 08:27:47 PM
There are going to be swarms of asshole kids giving each other good reviews in droves now.  That is the most likely outcome from this.

Anyways, I love that there are loud mouthed pieces of shiat on there.  It makes it a lot more fun when you win

The only time I rate a player in when he is a total dbag. You invite good players to be your friend.

They should look carefully at the downfall of sites like Digg where cliques of jerkoffs all got together to game the system.

Well, at the rate that Diggers wear Fedoras, that should die out in a generation.

I guess I'm one of the few people that actually sends nice messages on xbox. I've actually had a few surprised players respond and say they thought I was gonna curse them out (usually on poker game when they knock me out).

Don't use the mic very often unless the people sound cool. Don't really have an issue with assholes on mics, but I also don't play many of the games that are alluring to assholes.

Technically it's still his mom's bed.  I mean, it's in her basement.

This will work as well as Microsoft Points, Windows Wampum, Zune Zollars, Bob Bucks and Windows Phone Pesos did.

There are assholes in EVERY game. If you don't use a mic you'd never know. Try going into a random game of anything with your mic on and not be called a f****t n****r in the first 2 rounds. I triple dog dare you.

Technically, it's still my spooge, even though I wiped it on his pillow.

Same here but I wiped my dick on his curtains when I was done.

I'd almost want to get on Xbox Live if there was an incentive system for sportsmanship and courtesy, because the online console experience is simply hellish for anyone older than, say, 16.

On the other hand, as a member of the glorious PC master race, the self-selecting exclusivity of PC gaming means that there's typically no reason for such an incentive system in most of the games that I play - we're just nicer.

To be fair, that is the response I was hoping for when I worded the headline the way I did.

Until the recent XBone/PS4 generation it had nothing to do with "nice". It's all about who has a mic. Everyone that has an XBox 360 has a mic, not the same with PS3. And I'm sure it's not the same with PC. I'm sure if everyone got a free mic with their free 100 hours of AOL your mom would be getting railed minute by minute.

You'd also be gay.

And Jewish.

And black.

You also circumcised your cat.

F*cking freak.

I have my mic on. It's just on mute (it's how I know whether they're cool or not). Hell I'm playing battlefield right now and no ones even talking.

And just to be clear, I know there are assholes online. Hell one of my friends is one. We have to tell him to stfu when he starts getting heated up. But he also has general anger issues, so xbox isn't exclusive. But I don't see the frequency that most Fark threads would suggest.

Wow. . .a lot of people took the low road right off the bat, professing carnal relations with Subby's mother.

Sad.

I will make no claims about Subby's mother's supposed sexual promiscuity. Instead, I will be looking forward to Microsoft's proposed system working flawlessly.

I pay for XBL mainly because I find it extremely humorous to have kids with cracking voices tell me how they've violated my mother.

2014-03-20 10:05:48 PM
1?

2014-03-20 10:08:36 PM
Yes, because if they were rewarding for crap like tea-bagging someone, they would be paying out 10 times the amount.

2014-03-20 10:17:05 PM
The few times I've played live on Xbox and the little kids start running their mouths I just tell them to have fun at school tomorrow or Monday or whatever...it's fun.

2014-03-20 10:24:23 PM
So...  If you've never played on Xbox Live with your father, then that would seem to increase your Mom's odds of getting some on the side, however slightly.

You know it's so easy to mute someone on Xbox live that I don't see why more people just don't do that.

If you say something I don't like, mute. If you leave your mic open and I hear your mom/girlfriend/wife yelling at you constantly, mute. Your dog won't stop barking? Baby won't stop crying? Mute.

It's really easy guys. It's makes Xbox live actually enjoyable when I find folks I can talk to.

My favorites are the literal mouth breathers. You can hear when things are getting intense for them.

One big flaw is counting mute as a negative. I often don't talk while I play with strangers, but if I hear a voice over the speakers I'll mute that player as to keep my gaming experience to just the game.

/haven't figured out how to make voice come only over headset and never through speakers.

it's funny, a couple of my best XBL mates are one's i initially paid out on after a match for douchebaggery

Oh god those guys and the ones who eat food directly into their microphones. Mute.

What really sucks about xbox is that any tard boy who has a few bucks and can install a packet sniffer can bump you offline with a booster/stesser site.

On the 360 sure. Haven't found it yet on the one.

If you mute them then you by default lose the pre-match game.  The trick is to say something so fundamentally shocking that the lobby falls silent and you must do this before the timer hits 0.

/the wonderful part of the glorious PC master race is that they will die out as the PC dies out
