(Visor Down)   If you want to see how baffling Japanese advertising is, check out Yamaha's new motorcycle campaign, an animated series called Masters of Torque. "It's just weird, with a Bond-style bad guy, references to exoskeletons and a hero named Dan"   ( divider line 10

That doesn't even register on the Japanese weird-o-meter.

Looking forward to seeing that motorcycle. I'm really hoping they make an adventure style version of the bike!

Seems to be a trend of Japanese car companies making short anime shows/advertisements.

Subaru -  Houkago no Pleiades
Honda's - One off
Toyota - Peace Eco Smile

They're watchable, but not particularly good.

"James Bond...good....more."

"More? Or...Roger Moore? Not Connery?"

"No, Rogermoore."

Whats wrong with calling it 'Understeer'?   Motorcycles can oversteer as well as understeer.   The front tire starts to push right before you do a wheelie in a turn.   I think the author needs to try out the grip on the right side a little more.

What's so "baffling" about this? Big deal, at least they are showing the product. Now if it were an anime video about schoolgirls and the secret things they do with Koi, it might be baffling, but this seems like they're just working on a viral campaign here, not sure why anyone would be confused. 19 years ago, this might have seemed odd, but not now.

Watch the thrills and excitement as Dan travels swiftly through Tokyo chased by his mysterious nemesis while all safely obey the rules of the road.

It's Japanese animation. One way or another I was expecting SQUIDs.
