1986 was my favorite year.

It went all down hill after that.

Kylie Minogue is fine as hell, a standard-bearer for petite women worldwide, decades into her career.

George Michael is a good looking man as well, but then we guys get away with that whole "distinguished with age" thing unabashedly.

And her latest song is pretty good.  I can't believe it hasn't popped up on BPM enough (or at all) for me to hear it.  I guess they need to keep room for the same dubstep shiat they've been playing for the last two years.

Hmm, what happened in 1986?

I arrived in Hawaii for the start of a 3 year tour of duty.

Yeah, that was a decent enough year.

(i think it's sfw, but maybe not.  consider this a lazy warning, like when a tornado is not actually coming, but they were bored on the news.)

Kylie Minogue wasn't around as an artist in 86.  I think her first hit and first album was 88.

88 was George Michael's peak year, too.

Come on, subby.

You know how sometimes you're doing something that you need to keep doing but then you just forget all about it because of something you see?

Next time I'll put a Post-It on the screen... "BREATHE!"

'87 I was in college. I was very poor. I was so poor that I shared a smelly bunk bedroom with another dude. That dude played "The Loco-motion" by Kylie Minogue EVERY FARKING DAY. 7 a.m. or 11 p.m. Always the same song and the same crappy album. I would stay at the library until closing just to minimize my odds of interacting with my roommate or hearing that song. Ultimately I moved into an even crappier place just to get away from him and Kylie Minogue. I have never hated being poor more than I did that year.

I studied hard. I worked harder. I'm not poor anymore. So I guess it kind of all went uphill from there, in large part due to Kylie Minogue. [csb!]

The video's nice, but the song is awful.

Are there better songs on the album?

//Yes, yes, cue the "There was music in that video"
