It's Britain, so it would be "bobby a feel".

Bridget Mongan, 23, admits being drunk at the time, but said the officers should have left her on the pavement.

Yes, they should have.

And the rest of the article is about how she was too drunk to remember anything.  Now, I've gotten drunk before and I've done some stupid things and I've been pissed off at the police too, but sometimes you just have to chalk all that up to being a stupid drunk who had too much to drink.

And I hope she reads my comment.  At least none of the times I got drunk and did things I regret and acted stupid and drunk and stupid it didn't make news in other continents,.

Surely make you lose your mind.

I heard the Derry air smells pretty bad.

Would the officers be replaced by Mexican Llamas or battery operated Llamas?

As drunk and stupid as she was/is, it doesn't justify what the cops did, it's reckless endangerment, or whatever their term for it is.

And as much as i think this woman is a moron, I'd have to agree with firing the cops, just no excuse for what they did. They truly are lucky some inattentive dope didn't come along and run her over.

"do you think you shouldn't have been lying in the road in the first place?"
"well, I'd been drinking. these things happen."

Get help, lady. Or at least take responsibility for your own actions.

They will be punished harshly, paid administrative leave, so they can think about what they've done.

FTFY. Geography is hard.

Let's see, they took a drunk girl out of the street in which she was sprawling like a pig and placed her in the relatively safe bus lane, where to be killed would have required a blind bus driver. They could have tossed her into the drunk tank, which would have been their duty had they seen fit to exercise it. I expect the police's ombudsman is going to make the determination that the little AW fark off.

They should have taken her to the hospital.

You lost points for your vitriol.

Also, she should consider herself lucky. If she was stateside, she would have been tased, pepper sprayed, beaten, and then sexually assaulted by her city's thug department.

If I had been taken to the hospital every time I had been drunk off my ass, I may as well have just set up permanent residence there.   I somehow manage to sleep it off and if that's not enough another day or so will fix things.  No need for hospitals.

The writers of the article hired to continue the article after the other people had been sacked, wish it to be known that they have just been sacked.

The article has been completed in an entirely different style at great expense and at the last minute.

And charged with interfering with a police officer, resisting arrest and public intoxication.
