The video didn't play, but the photo is of caplets, which are never split in two. It can't be done; all the powder will just come out and it will be useless.

I think I'd shard my pants if I found that in my own crazy pills.

yeah, they are tabs in the video, that was my first thought.  Also...Teva is pronounced TEH-vah not TEE-vah.

Bah, fail on Boobies: those purple/blue guys are capsules.  Caplets are tablets that are in an oblong (capsule-like) kinda shape, you can totally break those.

Maybe the metal shard was like a sandwich toothpick, holding the capsule together.

What do you expect from Krusty brand pills?

Metal shard? Maybe it was lithium and the manufacturers were just confused.

Buspar is garbage anyways.

This doesn't answer the question as to why she was splitting the capsule in half? Seriously...who splits a capsule in half?

2014-03-19 05:22:00 PM
She asked the doctor for anxiety meds, not anti-anxiety meds.

Honest mistake.

A paranoid person on anti-anxiety meds?

Aww, first Dead Kennedys album! How quaint. I prefer "Kill the Poor" -- it feels like a rallying cry. Mike Patton's lounge cover of "Let's Lynch the Landlord" from Virus 100 was also quite fun.

I wouldn't worry about the internal bleeding.

They said the video was above but it was below. This is plainly some form of plan to get us distracted from the real agenda.

Michelle Baker. She used to think she was anxious before she had her name plastered all over the internet. She knows better now. Now she knows she is really anxious.

Just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't after you.

If you don't like your meds just do what everyone else does: grind them up and snort them.

My grandma does it because 1 bottle of 10mg meds are cheaper than buying 2 bottles of 5mg, or something like that.

Then there's the people who can't handle a full dose of whatever. You can buy a pill cutter in just about any pharmacy.

Yes but this isn't pills or caplets, which can be split. They're hollow capsules filled with powder medicine. There is no way to split them accurately. The only logical reason I see to split one open is if you can't swallow the pill and want to mix the powder in to a liquid. But this is also not a good idea because you can't guarantee that you'll get all the powder out of the capsule, so you'll get an inaccurate dose. It'd be better to ask for a liquid alternative.

Now that I've found the shard... what do I do with it?

Pay no attention to the crappy stock photos attached to the crappy news station article. Buspar, the medication, is a plain old white tablet.

I take these exact pills, from the same manufacturer. They aren't caplets, they're plain pressed pills. Easy to cut, and cheaper in the standard dosage, so chopping them in half makes financial sense.

/I bet mine get recalled now

Okay, my mistake. Ignore what I said in that case. Yes, I split tablets too.

Well, now that makes a heck of a lot more sense.
