Astorix: Look I'm a Jew and while I think this was a dick move by a bunch of dicks we can't go around. Taking people's rights for free assembly if it was just to "re-enact." It hardens people's hearts, drives them under ground, makes them into hate filled lone wolves.

Best thing to do is ignore them. They thrive on the publicity, gives them fuel for their paranoia filled fantasies of the "Jews in charge of everything are after them" and in this case there is no such thing as bad publicity.

They're media twerkers. Stop getting the vapours over these dinguses.

Hmm. I disagree. It is tempting to just ignore things like this, but we shouldn't. People seem to take silence as agreement, especially bigots.

I don't want the government trying to ban them, and people shouldn't make stupid threats of violence against the reenactors or restaurant, but we need to be vocal about how objectionable we find the image of having a nazi dinner on MLK day.

I'll fight for their right to speak and congregate, but they need to know that I find them offensive.

Ummm they're completely free to assemble any way they choose.

And we're completely free to ridicule them for those assemblies. The gov't isn't involved, so right to assembly does not apply.

Yep, they have the right to assemble, I would never suggest that the government should take any kind of action against them.

But the rest of us have not only the right but the responsibility to ridicule them, publicly out them as likely racists, and never do business with any of them.  If they are truly racist neo-nazis, I would even go so far as to suggest that they follow their leader:

And I find it damn near impossible to believe that they are just innocent reenactors who didn't grasp the significance of the date.  I suppose it's possible that they are truly that stupid, but Occam's Razor says that they're racist scum.

Ugly people need love too.  Don't be facist.

This.

As long as the group vigilantly weeded out white power assholes (they said they do), I don't care.

69gnarkill69: LemSkroob: Man, the Nazis had the best uniforms.

Also great flags and logos.

Love the black/white/red/grey scheme.

Cool looking machinery and weapons, too.

/I hope their graphic and industrial designers got paid well.

Hugo Boss dude.

I absolutely farking hate the fact that the Nazis had such good looking uniforms.  The Confederates, too... but mostly the Nazis.

Do you know why?

BECAUSE NOW NOBODY CAN WEAR THEM!

Let's face it, this uniform looks farking GREAT:

And it's ruined.  It's absolutely ruined.  Thanks, Hitler.

scottydoesntknow: Prey4reign: Why is it such a shock that the dinner took place on MLK Day?  Hitler never denounced MLK and MLK never denounced Hitler.

Hitler had a, shall we say, less than favorable view on African people and anyone who descended from them.

While you are right that neither leader said anything specifically about each other, their ideologies were miles apart.

So did Brigham Young , but if you eat dinner on MLK day dressed in cheap white dress shirts with black ties no one throws a fit. :P
