At the exact same time, in a parallel universe, a man is killed by a Spartan after arguing about the end of Maximum Overdrive.

Ex-Texan: When the first one came out, I made the corollary of a bunch of guys sleeping together, all wearing leather shorts. Coworkers looked at me as if I were defective. Later, many said they thought I was right. NTTAWWT>

Jim_Callahan: iheartscotch: The whole thing was clogged with historical inaccuracies; although, I am glad that Themistocles finally got some credit for his roll in the battle of thermopylae.

The Persians inventing Greek fire 900 years and 1500 miles off schedule was the point where I gave up, personally.  Pretty sure the Lord of the Rings was a more accurate depiction of Greek history.

You guys do realize it's based on an over-the-top comic book, and not really intended to be historically accurate, right? It's sort of like complaining about the historical inaccuracy of the Captain America movie...

Sure it was a braindead ridiculous explosion of silliness, but I went in expecting a braindead ridiculous explosion of silliness. And halfway through that braindead ridiculous explosion of silliness, I got to see a metric asston of slo-mo Eva Green boobies in 4K on an IMAX screen. So fark the detractors, because slo-mo Eva Green boobies in 4K on an IMAX screen is great time at the movies in my book.
