The charges were filed Thursday, said Police Chief Matthew D. Kunz. A story in Tuesday's Asbury Park Press incorrectly said the charges were not filed until Monday, the day after Madalone died at the hospital. While the news release announcing Madalone's arrest was issued the day after he died, and the department subsequently announced his death on its Facebook page, the charges were filed when he was still alive, Kunz said.

11. There were 11 likes. And 3 shares.

And they still haven't corrected their post. Investigation into his possession charge is still ongoing.

Plenty, I'm sure. People are weird. Or 90% of FB profiles are actually bots.

He must be feeling isolated and angry.

Because if he's charged they can seize assets, but you cannot charge a dead man. Thus he must have died after the charges because they want his money before the hospital takes it all.

So the guy was:
1.  A heroin addict
2.  In a car accident
3.  Dead

And the part that concerns you is that people might think you arrested him after he died.

Well, no wonder I missed. It was posted under "Active Warrants" not "People Who Died in Custody". Be sure to check out their Friends page. They have a bunch of Secret Informants. Even more than the New Orleans PD

If I live to 85 I might try heroin.
I hear it makes you feel really, really, really great.
We've all seen the downside so trying it at an earlier age isn't an option for me.

I was in a single-car accident - passed out behind the wheel because of a sudden fever and woke up in a little forest.

The cop chased the ambulance to the emerg and made sure I got a citation for "dangerous driving" while the emerg staff were stabilizing me. Apparently, officers get bad performance reviews if they step out of the cruisers without a ticket to show for it.

The ticket was ruled bullshiat and tossed out. Good thing - a dangerous driving conviction would have doubled my car insurance a a few years.

I've been planning that for my 80th birthday for some time now. In the unlikely event I make it that far, I'll have certainly earned it.
