Why you think its called bangkok and not bangkunt?

Because "Krungthepmahanakhon Amonrattanakosin Mahintharayutthaya Mahadilokphop Noppharatratchathaniburirom Udomratchaniwetmahasathan Amonphimanawatansathit Sakkathattiyawitsanukamprasit" is too difficult for English speakers?

Them: "You didn't ask!"

So an undetermined amount of hijackers killed or detained an undetermined amount of passengers long before they boarded. Took or destroyed all of their communication devices that they would have expected them to travel with. Then they got on the plane with their tickets and identification.

Since these people would be missing anyway, they continue to be missed along with the plane.

That is how the aviation specialist needed to pull of this heist, did it.

Obviously...

/Hey, while we're throwing out conspiracies!

CruJones: It sounds like Thailand didn't look at the data because they had no reason to, it's not a part of their normal work, not that they knew and held it back.  At least that's how I read it

Oh, this thing about a missing plan's path is mystifying the world right now in our area and we have this thing that track's planes path. Should we look into it or not?

Sounds legit.

SpaceButler: I think it's pretty clear at this point that modern science has no answer to the mystery of MH370.  It's time to go back to older, more time-tested techniques, like numerology.

Flight 370 on March 8, 2014.
IBM made a series of mainframes called System/370.
On March 8, 1971, IBM announced their new System/370 mainframe, the Model 135.
The Jewish-Roman Wars ended in 135 CE.
Mossad hijacked flight 370 to attack the Muslim nation of Malaysia.  QED.

Sorry, not even close.  The Sierra Club hijacked it to prove global warming is real, and PETA financed it with the money they earn clubbing little baby seals to death.  Since Al Gore is an Aries with the moon in Capricorn, no other explanation makes sense.

Shocking, that in a part of the world where every country hates every other country, that they're not big on sharing information.

This is why America should care about having decent relations with other nations, inasmuch as that is possible. The next plane that disappears may be one we actually give a shiat about.

2014-03-18 03:54:22 PM
to be fair, having worked with some interesting personnel in Malaysia... it probably went like this...

Malaysia: Tell us if you have any radar data related to our missing flight and give it to us.
Thailand: (thinking about the security implications of giving another country access to all of their radar data without any specific areas requested)... yeah, okay, that's not specific enough.

Let's be fair here... without *some* narrowing down of the data as to where they want to look, Thailand would be crazy to give out all of their data. -That's a national security nightmare. -You're basically telling the *entire* world where you look and what kinds of things you look for. If you aren't monitoring that area *at all* or no one is actively looking over that radar data and missed a big freaking plane where it shouldn't be... you are just telling the rest of the world... Yeah, my backdoor is unlocked and I'm not home between the hours of 6-8PM...

TrixieDelite: I've had to stop listening to CNN as their intrepid reporters ask people who have flown airplanes what might have happened to this plane. They end each segment with, "And we'll have much more on the missing Malaysian Airline, right after this." And then they come back to their sorry panel and ask hypothetical questions based on nothing at all.

They really need to spice things up with this non-story. Maybe have the panelists do an interpretive dance of their ideas, or invite Johnny from Airplane to come make a hat or a brooch or a pterodactyl...

Agatha Crispy: They have the same guy in the simulator every segment who shows how easy it is to turn off the transponders. "It's this knob right here - just turn it one, two three time to the left - and the transponder is now off."

The simulator guy was bored this morning, he was on his cellphone during those segments.  I like how they've started to explain when the plane turned west it was a slow, banking turn and not like the graphic that shows it stopping and pivoting left.  It scares me that there might be people watching that actually thought the plane made some crazy turn-on-a-dime maneuver.

This. Releasing comprehensive raw data? Of course not.

NoahFenze: So what of the island people who say they saw a low flying plane with the description of Malaysia plates?

That was dimissed.  At the time they saw it, the plane would have been already out of fuel for over an hour.  If they did see anything, it may have been a search plane.

My theory is that Skynet has become sentient, it took over the plane remotely and flew it to one of its automated factories where the passengers will be converted into the first generation of Terminators.  Go on, prove me wrong.
