I remember when Benjamin Orr played for the Bruins. He really shook things up.

I wonder what the greenlight ratio of Bruins to non-Bruins-related hockey threads is on Fark (excluding playoffs).

On their way to lifting the Stanley Cup!

Oh wait.

Go sit over there with the 2001 Seattle Mariners

The first line is on freaking FIRE right now.

I just hope the Bs don't blow their scoring wad too early and save some of this for next month.

fark that guy, going to Pittsburgh thinking he had a better chance to win it...guessing next year he'll end up with whichever team loses in the Finals.

I'm willing to accept that shiatbag Marchand getting a second ring if it means Iginla gets his first.

Not exactly a tough schedule though:
BOS (6) - NYR (3)
FLA (1) - BOS (4)
WSH (0) - BOS (3)
BOS (4) - TBL (3) SO
BOS (5) - FLA (2)
BOS (4) - MTL (1)
PHX (1) - BOS (2)
CAR (1) - BOS (5)
MIN (1) - BOS (4)

Sure. Blame the guy for wanting to play with Crosby, Malkin, and Fleury.

I'm sure you would have said 'no' with ease.

Winning the Cup was what mattered to him. Why go some place where the goaltending sucks, especially in the playoffs? Would have more respect for the guy if he went to Boston right away.

Cock gobbler.

Oh, you mean Fleury? That goaltender who won a Stanley Cup in 2009 with the Penguins? That guy?

Hindsight is 20/20, genius. Iggy had two deals in front of him, Boston or Pittsburgh. I get that Boston harbours some resentment that he snubbed the Bruins on choosing Pittsburgh, so your sentiment isn't totally off the mark. But that's a really tough choice for Iginla.

He knew Crosby, had played with him in the Olympics and Pittsburgh was a genuine Cup contender. The Bruins were too and Jarome made his choice.

Don't make it sound like the Bruins were a slam dunk. They weren't. That wasn't an easy decision. And the Bruins clearly still thought highly enough of Jarome to go and get him after that season ended.

The Pens consistently gave up 3, 4, 5 goals a game in the playoffs the year they won. Good for them Malkin and Crosby managed to score a lot too.

Fleury's playoff GAA of 4.63 in 2011-2012 would have made me think my best shot wouldn't go though Pittsburgh. You're not going to win the games that matter with that kind of garbage in net.

I will say it has been fun watching the Pens/Flyers games/series over the past handful of years.

/hates Pittsburgh
//Malkin is better than Crosby

They're playing well right now... Like to see Boychuk get back into the lineup as soon as possible.

That third line is really clicking too.

Lots of depth, strong defense, good PP and PK, and the usual hard-hitting physical style of hockey.

I like their chances heading into the post-season.

Also, someone told me Jerome's full name is Jarome Arthur-Leigh Adekunle Tig Junior Elvis Iginla. Hilarious.

Ok.

But what I remember is winning back-to-back "must win" games, of which Game 7 was a 2-1 nailbiter.

Fleury is up and down, no doubt, but he was clutch when it absolutely mattered the most.

Little sloppy in the First, but they tightened it up in the Second. Marchand's shorty seemed to take the air out of the Devils.

That Bergeron goal with the assist from Smith was a thing of beauty. Caught the Devils napping.

It's embedded on the TSN front page now.  Great camera angle shows that it was all kick, no stick.

The two points is far more important than the streak... Schedule isn't getting any easier and they need all the points they can get... Is 5 points ahead of Pittsbugh, at this point?

Five points ahead and the Pens have a game in hand.

They do need to give Chara some rest at some point. The wheels fell off his cart in the finals last year. Can't afford that again.
