So, the Kansas City Royals who won the World Series in 1985, are worse than the Cleveland Indians who haven't won the World Series since 1948?

2014-03-18 07:06:50 AM
They left out the Jets - Winnipeg and New York.

And the Marlins.

And the NBA's Meh division: Atlanta, Sacramento, Minnesota, Toronto, Washington and Milwaukee.

Despite how horrible and awful being a Lions fan is, I can't imagine it's worse than rooting for a completely irrelevant team every year like the Blue Jackets in hockey, or the Bucks or Hawks in basketball.  Irrelevant mediocrity is worse than legendary failure, as far as rooting for a team goes.

The list was okay, but I could have done without the skeleton dry-humping.

A worst teams article with no Buffalo teams?  That's unpossible!  Oh, wait, they included the Clippers.

I was actually surprised it wasn't a Yankee-bashing article.

So, Columbus and the Panthers without even a sighting of the Leafs or the Canucks?

Author must only be talking about American teams then.

No kidding, while it is nothing to brag about, the Royals have finished twice with a winning record since their 1995 70-74 season (which wasn't a winning season).

Without clicking the link, I'm guessing the Browns, the Tribe and the Cavs are #1, 2 and 3.

He also trots out the David Glass is cheap line. Which for a long time was true. However the payroll is a club record this year. . We filled are holes without breaking the bank. Added a few free agents and it should be a good summer

Bears. I feel sorry for Brown fans because they're so passionate and love football but just the thought of opening the closet and there's a skeleton with a wig and an Otto Graham jersey on was pretty funny.

These are the True Fans of sport. They should be put on a pedestal, not spat out like chewed-up gum.  They know their team is average to mediocre year after year yet they still come around.  It's easy to bandwagon onto a winner, flitting from one team to another like only a truly fickle fan can.  It takes guts and True Love to stick behind a franchise that hasn't gone to the playoffs in a decade.

Aren't the Clippers pretty much a playoff lock?

What a horrible article. I at least expected to see Manchester United, the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys.

Article could have been saved by naming the Washington Generals #1. Oh well...

My neighbor has bumper stickers for the Cowboys, Yankees, and Miami Heat.

I'm surprised he doesn't drive an actual bandwagon. Well, except the Cowboys- bandwagon jumpers usually like winners.

Only this season TBF. At least they're not Chelski.

What?  No love for the Marlins?  Let's look at the facts.

1)  Owner is a cheap piece of shiat who effectively fleeced the taxpayers to pay for a new stadium..uh for the next 30 years.
2)  Has actually won the World Series using cast-offs and free agents.  All of whom were sent packing a season later so owner could make more profit.
3)  Brings up exciting new prospect who immediately get dealt once they become too expensive.
4)  Hasn't had a winning season in about 8 years.

2014-03-18 09:36:27 AM
I was expecting all three of my teams to be on the list, and was shocked to find none of them.

/Sabres, Bills, and Mets

2014-03-18 09:37:59 AM
I moved quite a bit when I was a kid, so when it was all settled and done I ended up being a Yankees fan (since 1981), a Sixers fan (since 1982), a Chiefs fan (since 1987), and a Flyers fan (since 1980.) I gave up on the Eagles and Phillies long ago. So whenever I get hate for being a NYY fan, I just bring up any of the other teams and that usually shifts the focus to sympathy.

1. Leafs
2. Maple Leafs
3. Toronto Maple Leafs
4. TML
5. Toronto
6. Leaf Nation
7. Maple Laffs
8. Leaves
9. Blue & White
10. Oh, FFS...not again!

Only #3? Wow. We are moving up in the world.

2014-03-18 09:49:49 AM
No Buffalo sports teams?

2014-03-18 09:52:34 AM
The only thing keeping the Cardinals from a higher spot on this list are two things: one, they actually went to the Super Bowl a few years ago, and two, thanks to their vagabond, homeless nature, they don't really have any diehard, lifelong fans. Look, when one of your selling points is that at least you don't stick around long enough to break hearts, you're not so much a football team as a deadbeat dad.

Umm, they've been in Az since '88, that's 26 years. I hate the farking team, but 'not staying' isn't one of their failures.

2014-03-18 09:53:10 AM
Not a single Philly team?

2014-03-18 09:53:35 AM
Columbus is third in their division right now with a hand full of games left in the season.

2014-03-18 09:54:45 AM
The Cubs could only make it to #3. Figures.

2014-03-18 09:57:01 AM

nyseattitude: Columbus is third in their division right now with a hand full of games left in the season.

And Arizona won ten games last year in the toughest NFL divison. Outdated article

List fails without the LEAFS.

2014-03-18 09:59:59 AM
Panthers also made it to a Stanley Cup final (1996) which the articles doesnt mention.
I'd also like to nominate my New York Rangers who have had 4 maybe 5 good years out of the past 70.

2014-03-18 10:02:34 AM
Dude no Mets or Maple Leafs?

2014-03-18 10:02:39 AM
*Looking to see if the Lions made the list, see that they are number one, leaving satisfied.*

2014-03-18 10:04:20 AM
The Yankees. Ninety-five percent of their fans are bandwagoners who have no understanding of the sport, and the five percent who do will never be able convince anyone they aren't actually a member of the 95%.

2014-03-18 10:04:41 AM
Stupid list is stupid. The Clippers shouldn't be on the list at all. The Cardinals shouldn't be on there either and saying they don't have any diehard fans is completely ignorant at this point. If this was 2004, you'd have an argument. But not now.

2014-03-18 10:04:56 AM
The Browns need to be higher.
