QFTA:

The dig, which is ongoing and is one of the largest urban archaeological excavations in Danish history, also uncovered three barrels stacked on top of one another that turned out to be a well. The barrels were tied together and packed with clay, and at the bottom archaeologists found a system of pipes.

The Vikings invented the Internets???

No, those are pipes. The internet is a series of tubes, huge difference.

Attention kids: This is what archeologists actually do. They study 700 year old barrels of shiat. They do not generally hunt for missing ancient gold artifacts with magical powers while dodging nazis.

That's nothing. Last year they found a 900 year old dog shiat at the same site, and it's still soft! (use Google translate).

They're excavating for some major infrastructure in Odense, so they're finding all kinds of old crap.

/sometimes they also find some gold jewelry.

Fish barrels full of shiat. It's understandable why it still reeks after the better part of a millennium.
